Everyone stepped back inside onto the tile floor leaving a pool of water at the doors step. Their shoes squeaking with every step. "That didn't get us anywhere." Sadie said, taking a seat on the couch. She slid her foot out her slipper and started brushing granules of sand and dirt off of it. She moved her foot back and forth on the puddled floor beneath her, removing any sand between her toes. She dropped her slipper onto the floor and slid her foot back into it. "We need to find Fern but it'll be a lot easier if we can get the power back on first." Henry said flipping a white switch by the doorway. "The most common places a breaker is kept is usually in places like the laundry room or the garage." Martin said turning the flashlight on and pointing it at the ceiling. "Should we split up again?" Sadie asked. "It's best we stay together. We don't want another Fern situation." D said walking out of the conservatory and into the hallway. "Do you still have the keys we found on Trever?" Madelaine asked. "Right here." D replied, patting his hand against his front right pocket. "When Madelaine and I came through here earlier we found the laundry room but didn't get the opportunity to search it." Henry said coming to a stop.
"I thought you said most of the doors were locked?" Sadie questioned hesitantly. "It doesn't have a door. It's just an opening in the wall." He said with vexation. "Where is it?" Martin asked kindly. "Follow me." Henry said, starting down the hallway in the opposing direction as everyone followed behind. "Right there." Henry said stepping to the side of an open walkway. "Alright, If I were a breaker, where would I be." Sasha said looking around at the room. Two washer and dryers sat stacked on top of one another tucked into a hole in the wall. A white marbled folding island rested in the center of the room with a golden sink in the corner surrounded by grey counters with room dividers in the corner. "What kind of person needs two washer and dryer's?" Henry asked while looking at the stainless steel black and rose gold appliances. "Apparently this guy." Sasha said while standing beside Henry, giving him a nudge with a smirk. Martin and D opened white cabinets that were connected to the counters. "This dude was really organized. Well, his maids and butlers are." Madelaine said. "Looks like someone was in the middle of doing laundry. There's a white clothing basket here not even half full." Sadie noted, pointing at a basket on the floor in front of the washers.
She opened a dryer next to the basket and reached in, feeling around the inside. "There are some dry clothes in here, we can change and get out of these wet ones." She said as she pulled a handful of clothes out, sorting through them. "These are going to be super big on me." Sasha complained while looking at the pile in front of her. "It's better then getting sick." Madelaine butted in. They searched through the pile of clothes finding suitable attire. "Much better." Henry said as he stepped around the room divider. "Let's put our soaked clothes in a pile on the folding island." Madelaine suggested while putting her clothes on it. "There's a few towels down here we can use to dry our hair." Martin said as he pulled a pile of towels from under the counter, setting them on the folding island. "Thanks." Madelaine said while grabbing one and drying her soaked hair. Sadie walked through with her hair wrapped in an all white towel to a laundry basket that was sitting against the wall at the edge of the room. "We can put the towels in this when we're done." She said as she let her blond hair out out of the towel, dropping it in the process.
She reached to pick it up noticing a shimmer in the basket. "Martin, can you shine some light over here? Sadie asked uncomfortably. "Sure thing." He said shining it in her direction. "Is that...blood?" She asked horrified looking at a golden pin that was attached to an all black vest. D ran over and looked in the basket. "Isn't this the pendants that the butlers wear." Madelaine said while looking at it. "I believe so." Martin said as he observed from a far. "Let's just put the towels with our clothes on the folding island." Sadie said as she picked the towel up and threw it on top of the mountain of clothes. "In other news, I don't see a breaker in here. The only other places I think it would be is the garage or by the meter outside" Martin said.
