Michael's eyes tried to focus on his surroundings in the dark but it was hard when Luke was just down the hallway. The house was a three storey building and way too big but Michael actually felt a bit better knowing that his boyfriend's parents bedroom was on the top floor because it would make their sneaking around so much easier. Luke had said goodnight to his parents and had changed into his pyjamas and Michael had retreated to the guest room which basically looked like a hotel room. He would definitely be comfortable here for the time he spent here in the Hemmings household.

Again, as Michael settled under the covers of the sheets, he couldn't help but think about how rich Luke actually was. He knew that the blonde had a hard time making friends at high school and he was starting to see why. The house was amazingly big and it seemed to be the biggest one on this side of town. He didn't blame people for taking one look at the house and judging Luke too but he also hated that. He was just glad that he had met Luke before he found out about his wealth. If it was the other way round, Michael wasn't too sure what he would have done. He may have felt inferior due to his upbringing but he didn't want to think about that. All that mattered now was that he actually had Luke in his life like this. He was so lucky.

The footsteps in the hallway is what alerted Michael and he quickly sat up, switching on the bedside table lamp. The door creaked open and a flock of curly blonde hair and intense blue eyes peeked past the door. Michael grinned, motioning for Luke to enter the guest bedroom to which the boy did, practically bouncing on the balls of his feet.

As Luke entered the guest bedroom, his eyes lit up with excitement. "Hey there." he whispered, closing the door gently behind him so that it wouldn't be too loud. "I couldn't resist coming to see you. My parents are upstairs in their room watching some boring documentary. They won't be coming back down tonight."

Michael chuckled softly and scooted over to make room for Luke on the bed, although he didn't really need to because this bed was bigger than both of his single beds in the dorm room put together. "I'm glad you came. I was waiting. I got lonely." he replied, his heart fluttering at the sight of Luke's playful smile and he allowed the boy to cuddle into his side under the covers. "This place is like a maze, by the way. I could use a guide."

Luke grinned mischievously. "Well, consider me your personal tour guide to the Hemmings household. So, what do you want to do? We could raid the kitchen for snacks, explore the house, watch a movie or just chat."

Michael's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "Why can't we just stay here and snog?"

"Because you called it a snog." Luke grimaced.

"Sorry! Make out." Michael said with a laugh, loving how Luke hated British lingo sometimes.

"We have plenty of time to do that. Come on, Michael. I've never had a friend over here before and I want to do something fun! Make up for lost time!" He grinned up at the black-haired boy with a hopeful smile on his pretty face.

"Making out is fun." Michael pointed out.

Luke rolled his eyes and smacked Michael's arm playfully. "You know what I mean. I promise we can do that too. Now choose something else."

Michael sighed and hummed. Then his stomach grumbled and both boys laughed. "Okay. Let's start with snacks." he suggested. "I'm curious to see what kind of snacks are stocked in a house like this. Must be some insane stuff."

Luke nodded in agreement and a big smile etched its way onto his face and the two of them quietly made their way down the grand staircase, navigating through the dimly lit hallways. They finally reached the expansive kitchen, filled with stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. As they rummaged through the pantry, Luke couldn't help but tease Michael in a playful voice. "You know, we have to be stealthy snack ninjas. If my parents catch us, they'll make us sit through that documentary with them."
