"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU STILL DO NOT HAVE ANY UPDATE ON HER? IT HAS BEEN 13 DAYS AND SHE WAS KIDNAPPED IN BROAD DAYLIGHT AND THAT TOO IN PUBLIC? IS THIS WHAT AUSTRIA POLICE IS CAPABLE OF? OR DID YOU GET A BRIBE FROM SOMEONE, PREFERABLY THE ONE WHO KIDNAPPED HER!" Rehan hollered and grabbed the collar of the police officer.

"Please choose your words carefully, sir. We, as the police force, bear the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the innocent. In our jurisdiction, injustice is not tolerated, and bribery has no place in our nation. Regarding the abduction case, we are diligently following established procedures. The complexity of this situation arises from the perpetrators being masked and the concealment of the vehicle used in the kidnapping. Consequently, it will require additional time to pinpoint their whereabouts and determine the victim's location," the police officer asserted firmly, his voice tinged with anger, and his countenance marked by a resolute determination.

"Yeah, right," Rehan scoffed, his voice dripping with sarcasm. The gnawing regret of not being present during the tumultuous events weighed heavily on him. His heart ached at the thought of his first love's brazen abduction unfolding in broad daylight, with him unable to intervene.

"Rehan, please, let's not argue with them. Right now, they're our best chance to find Amaira. Our main goal is to bring her back safely. Let's not make things worse. Officer, I'm sorry for his behavior, but please understand our concern. Amaira means a lot to us, and she's not very street-smart. I just want her to be okay. It's been a frustrating 13 days, and every time we come here, it's the same story. We've given you all the information you asked for, but we haven't heard anything new," Elizey said with impatience, pulling Rehan away from the officer's collar.

"Ma'am please try to understand that we are trying our best bu-"

"Best? BEST? Oh please! 13 days and the only report we have gotten till now is that she is under an international don and that information too was provided by me. And this is what you call best. Yeah I can see the level of best you are trying to come up with" Rehan sneered. Seeing how incompetent the police officers were and was on the verge of killing them Rehan barged out of the police station huffing around.

On the other hand, Elizey frustration was mounting, and she was growing impatient with the slow progress of the police. She felt a strong urge to take matters into her own hands, but she reminded herself that this was a foreign country, not Singapore. At this point, she felt utterly helpless. Amaira was like a sister to Elizey, someone she had never had. Amaira's pure-hearted nature, intelligence, and direct approach to life had always been qualities that Elizey admired. However, they also filled her with concern, knowing that Amaira's innocence and gentleness could make her vulnerable in situations like this, which only heightened Elizey's anxiety.

Elizey was rubbing her head while coming out of the station and was witnessing Rehan pacing here and there, gripping his hair in the process. At this moment she wanted to be the most civil and patient one since she could see how Rehan was reacting to the way she knew that he will make impulsive moves. She held Rehan shoulders for assurance.
