"DON'T, JUST DON'T SAY IT. YOU DO NOT EVEN DESERVE TO SAY IT AFTER WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME! I BEGGED YOU, SCREAMED AND PLEAD, BUT YOU DIDN'T HEED MY WORDS. THEN WHY SHOULD I!"
I yelled with tears streaming down my face when witnessing m...

The hunt is on. The game is clear. You won't see it coming. You started this fire, and I will make sure I'm the one to extinguish it.
After seeing what was inside the box, something inside me snapped. My hands didn't tremble out of fear. They shook with rage. There was no point in waiting anymore. If he wanted to see me ruthless, I'd give him exactly that. He would feel the weight of everything he's done to us. And this time, he'd know what it's like to be the one hunted, cornered, and broken.
By now, Rafeeq and Adithya should be arriving. Once they're here, I'll put my plan in motion. No more running. No more fear. This ends with me.
A few hours later...
I stood near the entrance of the mansion when I heard the gates creak open.
Rafeeq and Adithya stepped out of the SUV. But I stiffened when I saw who followed behind them.
"Amina? Anjali?" My voice sharpened. "Why did you bring them?"
"They weren't going to stay away after hearing what's going on," Rafeeq replied, calm as ever.
Anjali crossed her arms. "It's smarter if we're all in one place. Safer."
I glanced at both women, then at the men who clearly backed them. I gave in with a sigh. "Fine. One place, one plan."
Just then, a voice called from the stairs.
"Bhabhi?"
All of us turned.
Amaira stood at the top, her eyes filled with emotion. The moment she saw them, she rushed down and threw herself into their arms, holding them like they were her lifeline.
And I stood there. Frozen.
She hugged them tightly, eyes shut like she was afraid they'd vanish, and the tears that slipped from her lashes weren't ordinary. They weren't just sadness. No. They were from pain buried deep inside her. Silent, suffocating pain. Longing, too. Longing that had gone unanswered for far too long.
And watching that tore something in me. She had been surviving in silence, wrapped in suffering, and I was part of the reason why.
Amina cupped her face, wiping her tears gently. Anjali fixed the stray strands of her hair like she used to when Amaira was still smiling freely.
"What took you both so long?" Amaira asked, voice trembling.
Amina shot a look at Rafeeq. "Ask your brother."
Rafeeq raised his hands. "Guilty."
Adithya stayed silent. His face said enough.
Just then, I heard the soft sound of wheels approaching from the hallway.
Sharmila entered, her wheelchair gliding across the floor. She looked confused at the unfamiliar faces.
Amaira turned to Amina and Anjali. "This is Sharmila," she said softly. "Suhail's sister."
