Jacob puts up his hand once he has heard enough. Without saying a word, the atmosphere downs to one that's solemn to an extent. He coughs and forces a smile
Jacob???: If you would excuse us
Jacob steps away from them backwards while smiling to reassure his parents and the trio as he walks away. Turns out it was Siren and Percy who spoke and not Jacob hence why he said us and not me. Before turning and blending into the words before anyone could say another word to him. Once inside and out of site, Jacob exhales a large amount of air. A feeling of freedom and relief washes over him. He looks around as the little critters scurry about their lives
Jacob: Isn't it more simple to be an animal?
"You are an animal kid"
Jacob nods his head but then shakes it. He lays down with an arm under his head, looking peacefully at the sky. Though the weather didn't seem very summery or flowery. His atmosphere did
°But it's not the same... I am too human and demon°
'Demon hound aka demon dog to be exact'
"Don't start you little mutt!"
'At least I'm not a first-class mutt to the demon king!'
Jacob feels his face smirk as his eyes glow golden for a second, just a split second. Then it glows red as a feeling of anger burns inside his chest, the heat felt so intense like it would melt right through the flesh on his chest. Jacob places a hand on his chest as he looks up at the grey clouds filling the sky. His raises the hand on his chest to the sky as if reaching out to someone. Jacob retreats into his mind while his body ly awake in seemingly tranquil setting around it. Opening his eyes in his inner head he sees two familiar figures. A small white haired boy, Siren and a Tall lean tanned man, Percy. They are sitting in a dead and dry garden setting. The garden shows that flowers used to grow here but the lack of love, attention and care lead to the current results. He walks over to gem
°Were my feelings for her ever genuine?°
'...'
"Only you have the answer to that question bud"
°Come now, I can't trust anything before merging with Jacob, I need to be told by you two since you felt everything he and I felt from before...°
It seems as if the world around them went completely silent, the feeling of nausea and the steady sinking gut feeling settling in them. Only a faint nervous sigh from one of them is captured
°I trust you guys. Isn't that why we started over?°
Suddenly from nowhere a burst of warm and caring love in the form of water seeps through the cracks of what used to be a dehydrated and dry ground. A flower blooms in a corner. Hidden from the trio's eyes. They knew that it wasn't going to be easy
'It won't be easy but'
"We are willing to try and love again"
'What about you?'
°... I have to at least try before answering°
"You need to have an answer cause what you are looking for is not an answer it's a question,"
'So what is that question Jake?'
°I guess- I know the answer is I am ever-changing and to embrace that fact. I need to accept the present°
More flowers begin bloom
"So what's stopping you Jacky boy?"
'Letting go of the past?'
