(Y/N) was only a kid.
Her cheeks were chubby and her smile was still incomplete, she had a few baby's teeth dangling dangerously in her mouth.
Burning Hand and his crew had been in the village for a few weeks now.
The only time she left the house was to train with his father. The pirate and the little girl were training when (Y/N), after another defeat, slumped to the ground.
A resounding puff came from his father, who walked away shaking his head in disappointment.
(Y/N) was immensely sad. She would have loved making his father proud, but how could she? The kid felt that her nature and the one of her father were light-years away. Yet every day she tried, hurting her hands and arms during workouts, ignoring the pain she felt when her father burned her skin, repressing the lonely feeling, to be the versions and self that her father desired.Perhaps with all these efforts, one day the world would have accepted her.
"What a bummer" her voice almost breaks.
She had been fighting against her father's will for a long time.
But after so many attempts, she was starting to lose hope.
Maybe violence was really the only way she had to survive.
Because until now her life hadn't gone so well.
The little girl looked at the tips of her shoes. Thin strands of grass intertwined between her fingers, and small yellow flowers slumped on her clothes.
"What a real bummer" (Y/N) was trying not to cry, but it was a very difficult task.
She sniffed, a big drop dripping from her nose. She got up muttering something, annoyed complaints came out of her lips.
She took her little sword and started walking.
As she walked away from the hill, tears began to flow profusely from her face. She was tired, she was sad and everything hurt her. She had hoped that somehow something would have changed now that they stopped in a new town.
But unfortunately, everything seemed to be getting even worse. At least when she and her father went to sea, (Y/N) had moments to have fun with the pirate.
Without even realizing it, the tears that clouded her sight, the little girl had found herself in a large clearing, a little away by the foot of the hill, surrounded by cherry trees.
After walking her legs were even more destroyed, so without too much elegance she threw herself to the ground. (Y/N) burst into tears, sobbing quietly.
Without warning, a chirping had made its way through the girl's tears.
(Y/N) raised her head from her arms, her cheeks wet, and found herself face to face with a pink bird.
Its feathers, but also as well as his body and feet, were very small and delicate.
"Go away, please" she sniffed.
The bird looked at her intrigued, tilting its head to the side.
The little girl sat down, wiping her eyes with the sleeves of her shirt.
The little bird approached again, pecking the ground.
It was very small.
Chirping as if nothing happened, the animal passed past the little girl, who followed him with his gaze and began to calm down. The movements of the little animal were hypnotic, (Y/N) got up from the grass wetted by her tears.
