She runs as fast as she can. Her breath is out of control.

Fuck fuck fuck

She looks back, hoping Zoro isn't following her. No green-haired guy in sight. After all, Kai is fast, she easily managed to lose him.
Slowing down little by little to not draw attention, the girl's heart starts beating regularly again.

Shit

I need to get out of here. I need to distance myself from the crowd

The girl's thoughts are a river in flood.

Why isn't Zoro chasing her? Maybe, like when they were little, she's faster than him.
Maybe Zoro didn't want to cause too much trouble in the Marines base.
Even if at the end of the day they have the same enemy, the pirate hunters are often not well seen by the Marines, who consider them too extravagant and indeed more like pirates than like respectable alley.

(Y/N) looks around, looking for a place to calm down. Her comrades were dead, she just had a violent fight, with one of her greatest old friends, and in addition, Axe-hand was waiting, probably impatient, for her in his big rich studio. She needs to quickly make a decision.

Her men. Her crew.

(Y/N) clench her fists thinking of Zoro's swords tearing apart the chests of her pirates. He became so... violent.

She would never forgive him. Those three were killed in such a cruel way only because they were dirty stupid pirates.
He was always so welcoming and kind towards (Y/N), even though her father was a criminal.

Did he actually change as much as she did?

Perhaps in part, it was (Y/N)'s fault.
An unpleasant flavor of puke fills her mouth.

The weather is suddenly cold, the clouds have turned gray and the faces of those around her have turned into sad wax masks.

Kai spits on the ground, hoping to expel away her bad mood.

Suddenly a hard surface collides with her shoulder: she looks down to see a slender figure massaging their ginger head.

A girl.

"Excuse me" the pirate whispers.

The two look into each other's eyes for a second just to get back on their way

How rude, she didn't even try to apologize

Before her mind could linger further on the strange crash that just happened, something else caught the girl's attention in that small military town.

"A bar" Kai bitterly smirks, the universe has granted her something good.

She fixes the belt and with her head held high, enters the Marines' bar. Kai wasn't afraid to clash with some little stupid soldier, and even if the Marines took her, Axe-Hand wouldn't have lifted a single finger to her, since her father is part of the Seven.
It's like a game. She's almost hoping to beat some ass...

There are a lot of people inside the bar. The light is soft and warm, in contrast to the mood of (Y/N).

Large tables surround the long dark wood counter, small chandeliers descend gently from the ceiling, and large stained glass windows make the environment even more muffled.

As Kai walks, some defiant Marines' eyes fix on her. She smiles.

Let them try and taste the flavor of her sword, the taste of her fires.

With her hand, she elegantly takes a lighter out of the belt, the smallest and most fragile one. She plays with it as she approaches the counter, she really needs to vent her anger on someone.
