Chapter 15

All of them went to the living room to see how was Abhi doing. They saw Vaish was hugging Abhi to console him. Randeep went near them and hugged both them, followed by Pandit, Avu, Sid. And soon all of them were in a group hug.

Abhi: Achanak se hum sab itne affectionate kyu ho rhe h?

Sid: Dada, maine sab kuch bata diya in logo ko. Sorry!

Abhi: It's okay.

Avu: Payal kaisi bhi ho hum sab aapse sach mein pyaar krte h.

Deep: You are loved.

These words by Avu and Deep were so comforting for Abhi. People were there who cared for him.

Abhi: Room mein chalte h ab sab.

All of them again settled into the room.

Jai: Abhi tu humein khul k sab kuch bata sakta hai.

The room was silent fir a minute before Abhi started speaking.

Abhi: Mai uspe gussa krna chahta tha. Usse ladai krna chahta tha. Par kuch bhi normally nhi ho paya. M-mai sab kuch n-norm-mally handle krna chahta tha.

Abhi broke down infront of them. Sid rubbed his back. After a couple of minutes Abhi continued.

Abhi: Humari jo memories thi saath mein woh utna suffocate nhi krti jitna mere andar ka gussa krta hai. Kaash mai uspe gussa kr pata.

Deep: Aap Payal pe gussa kr sakte ho. Mai jab chhota tha. Jab mujhe mere papa ki bohot yaad aati thi toh mai unki photo ke aage ja ke baat krta tha unse. Sab ko lagega pagal hai but it really helps. Aap chaho toh diary likh sakte ho. Mai toh chhota tha toh mujhe diary likhni nhi aati thi.

Anu: Diary sahi rahegi.

Abhi smiled lightly and nodded.

Abhi: Kal krunga.

The room again fell into silence. No one was speaking. So, Faiz decided to change the mood.

Faiz: Achha Raj. Teri pehli girlfriend kab bani?

Raj : Bohot shocking lagega but meri pehli girlfriend 7th grade mein bani thi. Sabse zyada time k liye. 2 mahine k liye.

Preeti: Sorry but it wasn't shocking. We were expecting it.

All of them started laughing at Preeti's sassy answer.

Deep: 11th grade mein ek ladki mere ko cute lagti thi. Par usko yeh gadha pasand tha.

Ashi had this small unsettling feeling hearing Deep found a girl cute in his school. She thought, did he found her cute too?

Avu: Ohho. Deep ki crush.

Deep: Crush toh bani hi nhi thi. Bas cute lagti thi. Woh is bewakoof k peechhe thi.

Raj: Deep yeh baat accept kr le ke mai tere se zyada good-looking hoon.

Deep: Good looks ka kuch nhi hai. Tujhe bas ladkiyo ko patane wali baatein krni aati hai.

Avu: Do saal pehle mere ek classmate ne mujhe school k baad basketball ground mein propose kiya tha. Aur Jai ne use maar ke bhaga diya.

Preeti: Sach mein woh ladka itna dar gya tha. Avu se aaj tak usne baat nhi ki.

Jai: Mujhe nhi pasand aise meri behen ke peechhe koi ladka pada rahe.

Sid knew from the very moment that Jai was scary.

Pandit: Padosi! Tune toh kisi ko date nhi kiya na aaj tak?

Preeti: Nhi.

Pandit: Maine bhi nhi kiya.

Both of them smiled at each other. Jai looked at Preeti and gave her a why-are-you-smiling expression. She just shook her head, telling him it was nothing.
