Chapter 18

When Ashi and Aayu reached home, Ashi immediately sent Aayu to his room and told him to change his clothes and complete his homework. Aayu went to his room tiredly. Ashi was mad at Swati but was considering Deep's words. She should have atleast listened to them but again the other side of her mind was telling her that talking won't solve anything. She went to her own room trying to brush away those thoughts. After a few minutes she heard a knock on her room's door.

Ashi: Kon h?

Swati: Ashi mai andar aa jau kya?

Ashi knew who was on the other side of the door by hearing the voice.

Ashi: Aaja.

Swati entered the room and stood beside the bed while Ashi was sitting on the study table's chair.

Swati: Aaj tujhe late ho gyi? Ghar aayi toh batati toh sahi.

Ashi: Kya matlab bata ke. Just come in.

Ashi's tone was a little frustrated.

Swati: Tune lunch kiya?

Ashi just nodded.

Swati: Sorry!

Ashi didn't reply. She didn't want to reply.

Swati: Ashi! I'm sorry!

Ashi: Mujhe laga tha hum behan kam best friends h. But I don't think that's the case.

Ashi saw Pandit entering the room.

Pandit: Ashi teri book-

He stopped speaking midway when he noticed the atmosphere in the room.

Swati: Mai tum dono se sorry bol rhi hoon. Mujhe aisa nhi krna chahiye tha.

Pandit: Disappoint toh kr diya ab sorry bol k kya matlab.

Munna entered the room too as he heard them talking while walking through the living room. He stood leaning on the wall and watched the three of them with an expressionless face.
Swati started feeling dizzy and her vision got blurry. In a matter of seconds everything turned dark around her and she lost her balance but Munna caught her in his arms. Ashi and Pandit looked towards her with a mix of shock and worry. Munna slightly patted her cheek to wake her up but it was of no use. He picked her up and laid her on Ashi's bed. Ashi held Swati's and patted it.

Ashi: Swati! Kya hua tujhe?

Pandit: Swati tu theek toh h na?

Munna: Usne kal subah se dhang se kuch khaya nhi h.

Pandit: Mai paani leke aata hoon.

Pandit brought a glass of water from the kitchen quickly and splashed some water on her face. Swati fluttered her eyes open.

Ashi: Tune kuch khaya kyu nhi?

Munna patted Swati's cheek lightly and said: Tu aaram kr. Humlog aate h.

He took Ashi and Pandit outside.

Ashi: Usne kuch khaaya kyu nhi?

Munna fake chuckled.

Munna: Tumlog puchh rhe ho? Tumlog usse baat krne ko bhi taiyar nhi the aur ab uski fikar ho rhi h.

Pandit: Kaise baat kr rhe h? Baat nhi ki iska matlab yeh nhi ki fikar nhi h.

Munna: FIKAR HOTI TOH SOCHTE TUM LOG USKE BAARE MEIN!

Somehow Ashi didn't want to stop Munna. She wanted to hear their side. She remembered Deep's advice and she wanted to use it.

Munna: Ashi tujhe yaad nhi h kya k tere parents k saath uske parents ki bhi death hui thi... Woh bhi suffer kr rhi h. Woh dikhati nhi h par woh bhi utne hi dukh mein h jitni tu h.
