Matt POV

I look down noticing that Sky is calling me I put down the gaming controller

" hello" I answered the call I hear, laughing " sky are you there?" as I was about to hang up" yeah I'm right here "she slurs" are you drunk?" I sigh

" what, no" she doesn't sound convincing

" all right fine I did take some shots" she confesses

" who are you on the phone with?" I hear Scarlett's voice in the background.

"shhhh" I hear Sky say in the background, and then some whispering afterwards

" are y'all all right?" I ask a few minutes later.

" yeah we're good but can you come over?" without missing a beat I get up." yeah sure I'm on my way.

walking down the stairs, I grabbed my keys off the counter I reversed out of the driveway and zoomed off to Scarlett's apartment

as I reached for the door, it twisted open showing that it was unlocked. I walked into the apartment and lock the door.

instantly the smell of alcohol hits me I see a bottle that is half empty on the floor I shake my head

" hey I'm here" I say to no one particularly

"we're in the bathroom can you grab a cup of water please " I hear Scarlet shout

" all right" I say back walking in the kitchen trying to remember where her cups are since I haven't been here in a while i started to open up cabinets one by one I noticed one with with a whole bunch of alcohol

I finally found where the cups were and opened up the fridge to get a bottle of water. I pour the water into the cup and walked to the bathroom.

I see Sky hunched over the toilet with Scarlet, holding back her hair while she's on her phone

" I can take over" I say to Scarlet as I get closer "your turn Matthew" she gets up

" hey, I'm right here." I sit down next to Sky.

" you actually came over" she lifts up her head." yeah, of course anytime" getting déjà vu of the beginning of sophomore year

" here drink some water" I give her the cup she takes a few sips and then begins to throw up again.

I pulled back her hair to get out of her face I start drawing little shapes on the back of her back

" I think I got it all out of my system"Sky says as she lifts up her head I grab a towel and wipe off her face

she grabs the cup of water, and finish it off

" do you got it?" I ask as I lift her up. she nods her head. she begins to walk, but then trips over her feet. I catch her.

" already let's go" I pick her up and walk out the restroom seeing that Scarlet is out like a light on her bed

" can we watch a show in the living room?" she looks up at me." yeah, of course." I walk over and lay her down.

pick it up the bottle and everything else that was on the floor I threw it all away

I laid down on the couch, and she lays right next to me I grabbed the remote" what did you want to watch?" I asked as I was turning on the TV." put on the summer I turned pretty." I put that show on and we just watch.

" Wait, so I'm confuse, so who does she like Jeremiah or Conrad?" she sighs

" she likes Conrad. She always has all of her life but when she think she finally turned pretty, she thinks he's gonna like her, but he starts distancing himself from her, and then she starts dating this other guy that she doesn't really feel fireworks, for she just feels comfortable, but she dumps him Because her and Conrad almost kissed, but they didn't, because Jeremiah saw what was gonna happen, and he distracted them with a firework then, the next day he said that he does not remember anything that happened and then she got mad at him and said that she was no longer gonna wait for him anymore and then that night she goes swimming and then Jeremiah comes out and then he tells her that he has feelings for her and then they kiss in the pool" I nod my head as I soak in all of that information

we then continued watching the show

I noticed that her breathing slows down I looked down at her and she is sound asleep. I turn off the TV and get on my phone.

don't know when but I ended up falling asleep
