Auther's Note:
Are we ready for some fun? 👀 I totally thought this chapter was smaller, so I added to it. Turns out it was pretty average so now it's actually the longest yet. Whoops.

A week had passed when my phone rang atop of Noah's desk. I was currently getting my ass handed to me in Bloodborne and needed the break. The number wasn't one I knew, but the caller I.D. didn't tell me it was spam. So, I answered. After about twenty minutes of questions with the EDD office, the line went dead and my mind started to wander. Like Noah had said, my work filed disability paperwork for me, and the only thing I had to do was sign my portion of the packet that was sent to the house and make sure I had a doctor's signature verifying that I was in fact classified as temporarily disabled and needed the extended leave of absence. I'd need to get a hold of Penny at some point and see if she could email me what was needed, or if I could at least scan a copy to her to get it signed.
Most of the household was out today which left me in a weird state of mind. This was the most I had been alone since I came here, and it was eerie. Usually there was some kind of commotion going on whether it be loud music or plain out yelling. But today, it was me and what I think was Folio, though he was still in his room likely working on some stuff for tour. There was only a few more weeks before our departure and there was a lot to do. For them, not so much for me.
Instead of logging into my own Steam account, I opted to use Noah's. He had the same games I did for the most part, and I knew he didn't mind if I tampered with a few of them. Like Bloodborne, for instance. This wasn't even installed on my computer because I royally sucked at it and it freaked me out. None of the monsters had names and there was no telling when they'd appear-just like any Dark Souls game created. This was the last couple hours of my life; listening to odd sounds and dealing with jump scares while wearing his amazing headphones. They were definitely better than mine back home.
After dying for the hundredth time, I growled with frustration. I'd been in the same area for over an hour now with nothing to show for it. Fuck this game and everything it stood for. I stared at the 'You Died' screen questioning on why I kept allowing myself to load back into the same area only to die by the same creature again. And again. And again.
I took the headphones off and adjusted the clip in my hair, stretching my arms after because I'd been in the same spot for a while now. Sighing, I looked out the windows of his room. It was hot as fuck outside, that much was certain. The skeleton was now positioned to dreamily stare out the window with his hands tucked under his head instead of creepily peeking through the curtains. Every other day or so, one of us would choose a different pose for him.
Adjusting my tank top, I stood up and grabbed some water from Noah's mini fridge. There was a headache forming and I wanted to try to combat it while it was still small. I should also stop playing a game that was likely inducing the headache, but I was a masochist. That, and part of me wanted to have some kind of bragging rights even if I was bound to go no further than where I kept spawning. Maybe that would be my goal for the day; getting to a different area in Bloodborne and turning it off for another couple years.
I went right back at it, adjusting the headphones back over my hears and cursing seconds later in frustration. After another twenty minutes, I mentally agreed with my defeat and decided today wasn't the day and to change my goal.
"Finally done? Great, I'm starving." The voice startled me, Folio leisurely laying on Noah's bed with an arm propped behind his head as the other held his phone on his chest.
"How long have you been there?" Shutting the game down, I was sure to update whatever games were in queue before giving the drummer my attention.
"Long enough to know you suck at that game," Shrugging, he let his phone drop to his chest and finally looked at me with a joking kind of pity. It was the look that told me 'It's okay, you tried your best' while also saying, 'though you'll still likely fail next time but we love you anyway.' "So, food? I'm hungry."
