HARRY’S POV

I came into the hotel room to see Lyla, Louis, Zayn, and Perrie all sitting on the couch watching something on the television, I didn’t hear what it was though because I had my headsets in, I’ve been drowning myself in my music the last couple of months.

Gotta love the stuff that keeps me sane.

A lot of things have seemed to get back on track…

Our album was just about done, and we were getting ready to release the single. After that we’d be heading out to some various places to get tour planning together and then we were set to go. It was all pretty exciting. Niall and I were back to normal again, and he had actually hung out with Marilyn recently, it looked like they found a steady friendship which was good.

I missed her.

I missed her a lot.

“Harryyyy, come watch Marilyn’s interview on MTV. They’re just about to talk about One Direction.” Lyla yelled to me by hitting me with Lou’s shoe to get my attention.

I totally forgot about her interview. She was on to talk about her new single.

I listened to her song the alwhile on Lyla’s iPod since she had the track early, and I got a little emotional from it.

The song was about a boy who was a light in the world, becoming his own person right in front of everyone. How no matter how successful he got, he still looked at everyone and the world the same.

“They call him a star but he only knows the one in the night.”

That lyric stood out to me the most for some reason.

It was interesting how must of the song was different than the original one I helped her write, but similar at the same time. It was practically the same story, but her point of view, about a boy she knew and cared about.

And I couldn’t help hoping it was about me.

“Well Harry’s a busy guy, and I’m busy too, I guess we just haven’t been in the same place at the same time lately…” I heard her say on the telly.

When I turned my head to look at the screen for the first time, I noticed her style had changed and evolved a little bit. She was wearing a rosy pink blazer and a lace white tank top underneath. Her shorts were a darker shade of grey but the bow in her hair, helping her curled long  brown hair flow perfectly, was pale blue.

“She’s so cute!” Perrie said, smiling.

“I know…” I said casually sitting on the chair beside the couch.

She looked at me and smiled from my self admitting.

“All the Marry shippers are missing the cute photo’s of you two.” The host said.

I bit the inside of my mouth from awkward sadness.

She then released a soft “Ha…” Which made the feelings of anger to myself reappear.

Saying goodbye was the absolute hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my entire life.

“Why?” Marilyn’s crushed face asked me in response of me saying I couldn’t see her anymore. Her face was welled up with tears, as was mine. I couldn’t find the answer she wanted, I couldn’t tell her my reasoning, which helped me realize she soon would become angry at me, and I was prepared for that.

As she yelled at me to tell her, my emotions took me over so greatly that I started to sob into my hands. I was hurting the girl I cared about the most in my life, but I knew by doing this, things would turn out better for her.
