Chapter 8: Me and You

    "You look beautiful." I watched Tylers mouth drop as he stood just beneath the door frame. His pressed powder Blue dress shirt tucked neatly in his navy blue slacks couldn't have matched my outfit any more perfectly. Tyler straightened his body as he held out is hand.
    "Thank you," i said with a smile. Placing my hand in his, we walked to his 2023 Lincoln Continental. Tyler reached over grabbing the car door handle and opened it.
    "Watch your head." Butterflies were pounding in my stomach as i watched him circle around to the other side. His big goofy grin plastered on his face grew as he saw me smile.

    "You ready?" Placing his hand on my thigh we drove off. It felt like we were flying, going through yellow stoplights as if they were green, missing the red by milliseconds. Although I couldn't quite let go of what happened between me and tony, or Kassy.., I tried to put them out of my head. I deserved a night of fun and laughter. Didn't i? It took approximately 10 minutes to go across town, granted our town wasn't huge by any measure, but still. Tylers hand gripped my skin While unlocking the door. His pace hastened as he ran around to my side. I had started opening my door when he slammed it shut. His emerald eyes shined in the moonlight.

    "No date of mine will open her own door. That wouldn't be very gentlemen like. Now would it." His smile gave me tingles on my skin as i nodded. He held my hand as i exited the car. Placing his hand on my back, we walked into the 5 star restaurant. HIs kind eyes greeted the hostess as he gave his name.
    "We have a reservation for Houghs." Tylers head cocked while staring down the long paper.
    "Ah yes! Right this way Mr. Houghs." The hostess motioned for us to follow as she brought us to a secluded table in the back. It couldn't have been more perfect. The view through the window showed the lake across the way, as lights twinkled above us he leaned in. I placed my index finger on his lips.

    "Before this goes any further i just wanted to say thank you. It's been a wild and dramatic couple of days, and this is just what i needed." His soft features became sultry as he grabbed my hand. Pulling me a tad closer he whispered in my ear.
    "Your welcome my love." Tylers hand brushed my cheek as he moved strands of my hair from my face. His seductive voice over took me as i could feel the flutters lingering in my abdomen.

He grabbed my hand and linked our fingers together making me blush even more than i already was. Our eyes met and i could tell exactly what his intentions were. We sat at the small circular table, eating each course, while conversing about menial life circumstances. I opened up about my past, trying not to get all dark and gloomy, as he squeezed my hand tighter. For a moment i was able to see someone new care. For a brief fleeting moment it felt good to unpack and breathe. Tyler shifted his fit body as he scooted closer leaving little to no room between us. His brilliant green eyes seemed to dance in the candle lit ambiance. His breath became shaky as his face was inches from mine. I could feel the presence of flutters once more as our gaze locked. Tyler's hand cupped my face wiping away a tear I didn't know was there.

    "I'm so sorry Fallon." His apology for something he hadn't even done shocked me. My body froze as he leaned in leaving even less space between our lips.
    "I really wanna kiss you, but I don't want you to think that's the only reason i listened to you speak. Honestly i could listen to you speak for days with out ever getting tired of your sweet voice." My body felt on fire as it buzzed with every word he spoke. It was like ten thousand firecrackers going off at once. I leaned just a tad closer.
    "I really like you Ty..." I could feel breaths stutter from my body. Our eyes locked in a heat of passion. This is it. He's going to kiss me. I puckered my lips awaiting his soft kiss, only to be completely disappointed.

    "Hey guys!" Tony's voice rang through our tiny corner of paradise. Tylers head turned as Tony sat down beside us.
    "What are you doing here Tony." My words came through gritted teeth as he gave a smile. Angrily laughing i cocked a grin on my irritated face.
    "Rachel made us reservations for tonight." His eyes shifted to his girlfriend as she walked closer eventually placing her hand on his back.
    "Hey Fal..Hey Ty," she said with a wide grin. Crossing her legs to lean down, Rachel kissed tony Passionately as if it were an erotic moment. Both Tyler and i giggled nervously as she locked eyes with me. The waiter approached the table, laying down a little black book containing our ticket.
