I wanna get this thing done already let's get into it

   ( 1st person POV  )

I wake up the next day to go to the store. I get the essentials and stuff I don't need at all. At this time, school's out for the day, so depending on where you are, you would see a bunch of high schoolers rushing out Roosevelt High School ( I go there too) like there was an intruder.

From where I was at currently, I was about 5 blocks away. I was basically at a strip mall so I just walked to the next store. Then, I looked down on my phone to look at some stuff.

BAM!

I fall to the ground after bumping into someone, and I see the person I bumped into also fell down.

"Hey! You got some problems with us, yo?!"
A furious looking boy towered over my fallen form. Though he looked a little younger than me, he looks like he would pummel me in a second.
"I- um- sorry about that I wasn't looking-" I was cut off by a more comforting, female voice.
"It's fine. Don't mind him. He's just like that. Need some help with your stuff?"
"Oh no- no I'm fine you can go on with what your doing."
"You sure? It looks like a lot and I'm free at the moment so I don't mind."
"I mean, if you want to then go ahead. I appreciate it."
The ginger haired girl with a yellow shirt that had the number 5 on it helped me carry my stuff to my car.
"Thanks a lot," I said with an awkwardly familiar feeling in my stomach. I felt embarrassed that I needed help,
and that I bumped into someone in public.

"Hey, probably weird time to ask, but, what's your name," I asked, due to them looking around the same age as me.

"I'm April. This guy over here is my friend. Casey."

"Cool."

I state my name as well.
"I like it," April says giving me a feeling of comfort.
"Oh, thanks! I think it's a bit strange, but I ain't complaining."
My eyes then widened.
"Wait, you look familiar. Do you go to Roosevelt?"
April's eyes widened slightly as well.
"Yeah! We do! You as well?"
"Yes, yes I do."
"Ah, cool!"
"Anyways, thanks again," I say feeling relieved that I got to know them a bit more.
"No problem."
"See ya soon, I-I think," I say before me, her, and Casey part ways.
