My Job to Watch You

Sitting at work a few days later, I was working on piecing together an ancient puzzle found in Western Mongolia. It was almost impossible to solve with its intricate turstyles, trying to match and find a pattern in each piece. Once it was unlocked, it would reveal a map on the inside, yet that was only myth.. I planned to find the truth behind it though.

As I worked my phone buzzed as I looked down to see Lucas's name pop up.

Lucas: I heard you're back. When can I smell that sweet lavender again?

I tried not to smile in excitement, picking up the phone and trying to form a quick response.

Sorry. Back at work. Maybe dinner one day.

I had to admit, this was all getting a bit confusing for me. I had never talked to one guy on a serious consistent basis. Seeing Lucas was exciting and thrilling. I always knew we would try something new and kinky. He made me feel mature and gave me a sense of sexiness I had never felt. Even with his brother giving me the cold shoulder and very strange vibes, I couldn't help but want to see him, even if I had some conflicting thoughts about Henry.

Lucas: Don't make me beg, Angel. Let me take you to my Lake House this Saturday.

I bit my lip thinking about what he was talking about exactly. I didn't think he had parties on Saturday's. Either way, I thought it would be rude to ask so I gave a different response. Okay. but it would still be cute if you begged.

I placed my phone down and shook my head, focusing back on the artifact. I Started to notice some of the symbols representing some of the rare National landmarks. While my mongolian wasn't well, it wasn't too far from Chinese which I could read pretty well.

I clicked them together and the artifact shifted slowly. My phone then buzzed again as I peaked down once more.

Lucas: Oh you're giving me new ideas. I haven't forgotten about the wax.

I took a deep breath in shaking my head and turning back to the artifact, moving the pieces on more. Things began to piece together in my mind as my eyes widened realizing I could solve this. A few more steps and the artifact clicked, allowing me to scroll it open, revealing a map that had strange scripture written inside.. One thing was for sure.. It wasn't mongolian.

I wanted to run up and show Henry but he hardly left his office unless it was to give me a job, and so far this article was it. I'm sure he gave it as an impossible task, but nothing was impossible in my eyes. I picked up my phone excitedly to respond. Is it going to burn? Or would it be a good kind of pain. Like whipping?

It wasn't long before my phone buzzed. The pain that will make your legs shake in ecstasy.

My eyes widened as I flipped my phone over shaking my head. I took a deep breath and tried to clear my head at the dirty thoughts that were now entering. "I hope you've accomplished something today," I heard Henry speak from behind me. I turned around with a wide smile, holding out the artifact.

"I solved it," I said as he scoffed and grabbed it from me. He looked closely analyzing the puzzle, shaking his head.

"How did you figure this out?" He asked as I raised an eyebrow crossing my arm.

"I just matched up the symbols based on the map I've seen of West Mongolia and then I figured out the pattern based off of longitude metrics," I said as he placed it down.

"That's been tried before," he said as I shrugged my shoulders.

"Yeah, but it's including indigenous regions that aren't necessarily on a country map," I responded as he scoffed once again.
