Henry and Lucas always had tension as brothers. Only being two years apart, they were always either best friends or worst enemies growing up. As boys grew into teenagers they found different paths in life, Henry focusing on his passion for history and research, while Lucas went by a simple code, 'Spend money to make money'.

The solid differences between them slowly built and grew as Lucas being the older brother always had his way. He was more charismatic, he was richer, and he was more charming than Henry. So as Henry walked through his brother's workplace to his office on the top floor, he remembered all of that pent up emotion he felt as a teenager and even more as an adult.

As he opened the office door, he saw his brother sitting there typing on his laptop as if the event of last night surpassed his memory. He looked up making eye contact with his brother, standing and walking around. "Henry? What are you doing here? Coming from lunch with you big br.."

Henry didn't know if it was Angel or for himself, but he cocked his hand back and gave his brother a right hook on his cheek. His brother gave a bewildered look for a moment, but he knew why his brother had done it. The truth was, Lucas knew he deserved it. "That was for Angel."

Lucas scoffed, whipping around to his mini fridge and pulling out a cold water bottle. "I'm assuming Angel told you about last night," Lucas responded, placing it on his cheek and walking back to his desk.

"No, but she didn't have to. Her wrist told me everything I needed to know. You know she blames herself. You know she was a virgin?!" Henry harped, half yelling at his brother, the thought of her first time being so horrible causing his chest to hurt.

"And she still is... don't worry, brother, it didn't get to that yet," Lucas responded, not able to help himself. If there was one thing he could do better than the job he got paid to do, it was to strike his brother's most precious nerves.

Henry huffed, sitting in the chair shaking his head at his brother. Lucas took a seat of his own. "Look, I knew I took it too far. I plan on apologizing as soon as she lets me. It's just that last ni..."

"I don't want to or need to know," Henry remarked, knowing he shouldn't feel the jealousy he felt. He knew Lucas had met her first and it wasn't anything against Angel that Lucas had her inserted in his trap. "Did you know she grew up with parents who were doomsday preppers? She was homeschooled and had no siblings and hardly any social interaction. She's... she.."

"Innocent," Lucas finished as the brothers looked at each other, knowing that such a thing didn't exist any more. "Look brother, if you want her all you have to do is say so," Lucas added as Henry rolled his eyes.

"And what? You'll just leave her alone?" Henry remarked as Lucas gave a tilted grin. He knew that would never be an option. He was too enchanted by the woman that wandered through his door in all white. Lucas thought it was all lust and attraction to her soft demeanor, but the more he was around her, the more he found himself drawn to her delicate beauty and sense of humor.

"Well... I didn't say that," Lucas remarked as Henry had the realization that Lucas was still struggling to admit his own feelings.

"Don't tell me you like her," Henry remarked sternly.

Hearing his brother say those words, Lucas knew he couldn't admit it out loud. Another thought ran through his head at this moment. If there was one thing Lucas enjoyed it was playing games, especially with his little brother. Mostly because he thought he would win. "How about this; if you pop her cherry, I'll back off," He responded, making Henry let out a loud scoff. He didn't want to admit that the thought had crossed his mind over a dozen times since he first found out about her innocence.

"I am not going to bet on her virginity," Henry stood, feeling as if his visit here was useless.

"Alright well... if it's not gonna be you, I can only wonder who..." He responded, as Henry knew exactly what he meant. Lucas was charming and had a way with females. Someone as kind as Angel would surely forgive Lucas for being too rough with her. All it would take is some flowers and soft words and she would fall right back into his arms and give him the precious gift he didn't deserve. Henry wouldn't agree to the bet out loud, but he knew that if he wasn't the one to have Angel... Lucas wouldn't wait to claim her himself.

After leaving the office, both men were unsure of one fact. They didn't know if they had agreed to fight for Angel or share her. Either way, they both wanted her and neither was willing to concede.
