An explosion of colours penetrate,
the night sky.
Cheers of my people are heard nearby.
Rakshas' are in checkmate !
This festivity is worth the wait !
The power of light is on a high,
While darkness bids goodbye.
Today is the date !
"Pass the sweets! " ,
The people shout .
A tabla beats...
As we dance without a doubt !
the sun heats,
And we never pout !
