Kuroko no Basket One Shots

KUROKO TETSUYA ONE SHOT

"Kuroko-kun, I like you. Please go out with me!" She nervously bows down her head. Her eyes were tightly closed. A sweat trickled down her face. It took her long enough to muster up all of her courage to confess to him.

She's the manager of Seirin's Basketball Club. A manager isn't really needed since their coach can manage to both train and, well, manage the team, but since she's desperate to know more about him, she took the job even though she's not really into sports, let alone basketball.

She transferred to Seirin two months after the opening ceremony. The teacher asked her to sit beside him. As she was trying her best to make friends with the rest of the class, she failed to do so because the groups were already formed, but he talked to her. And she was grateful for that. She even made friends with Kagami kun through him whom at first she thought was a delinquent.

As days passed by, she became fond of him. She became aware of him even though he lacks presence. He isn't the most popular guy in school but she got attracted to him.

"Uhhm I appreciate your feelings for me but I have to decline." Kuroko said without any hint of emotion to his voice.

She immediately raised her head. Hurt was written all over her face as she looks to the light blue haired boy wearing his signature poker face.

He took notice of her sad expression and tried to express his feelings properly.

"No, it's not that I don't like you. You're kind and you've been a really great help to our team. It's just that, I have no interest on going out with someone right now. Sorry"

"O-Oh. Uhhm Could we still remain friends after this?" She managed to smile a little. At least he's not seeing someone already.

"Of course!" Kuroko suddenly smiled. Her mind went blank.

He rarely smiles.

That caught her off guard.

"Please don't forget that I still like you" She suddenly blurted out. She clasped her hands onto her mouth, surprised by her sudden outburst of words.

But he nodded, still wearing that gentle smile that was only meant for her.

She was glad she confessed even though she got rejected.

That smile was more than enough for her.
