*One week later*
You had to stay with the Malfoys since you had nowhere else to go. You haven't spoken to anyone, haven't left your room, weren't eating properly...not to mention your mental health. You cried for days and then when you had no tears left you just stayed numb and slept all the time. You kept the curtains closed at all times, not wanting to see light ever again. It made you feel comfortable. It made you feel closer to death, closer to Tom. One afternoon you heard a knock on the door. It was Cissy.
C: "Y/n, how are you doing, dear?"
She sat down on your bed next to you. You poked your head out from underneath the covers.
Y/n: "Not good."
Cissy stroked your hair and you hugged her. She's always been so good to you and at that moment you felt so lucky you had someone who cares. Tears started running down your face again.
C: "Y/n, why haven't you told us you were alive? You didn't have to stay alone in that situation..."
Y/n: "I wasn't alone..." you looked at her with your tearful eyes.
But you were. You were alone even if you tried to convince yourself you weren't. You told her everything. You two talked for hours about Tom, about how you were trained to become a Death Eater and about how you were too scared to let anyone know.
C: "Y/n, you can't stay hiding in here forever. I know it's hard but come with me and we can eat dinner together as we used to do. Draco will be happy to see you."
Y/n: "Isn't he angry? I feel like I completely messed everything up. I don't even know how to act around him, what to say...He hates me."
C: "He may be angry but that doesn't mean he won't be happy to see you, Y/n. I know he's worried about you. I saw the way he looked at you. He doesn't hate you even though he'll maybe act like he does. You know him...Just give him some time and he will understand. You both need time, sweetheart."
You nodded and you both went downstairs. Draco was already seated at the table and when he saw you he looked really surprised. You haven't talked but every now and then your eyes met his and you both stayed looking at each other for few seconds. That was okay for now. Days went by and you were slowly getting better. You started reading and listening to music again, you were taking care of yourself more and ate every meal with them. One day you were walking in the garden when you heard someone's footsteps behind you. You turned around and it was Draco. You sat down on a bench and waited if he sits down next to you. He did. You both looked at each other.
Y/n: "Draco, I-
D: "Y/n, I'm sorry about what happened to you..."
Y/n: "I don't know what to do with myself, Draco. I fucked up. And this-" *you showed him your Dark Mark* "will always remind me of him."
D: *showing you his Dark Mark* "We all did. But some did it because they wanted to. We did it because we had to. There's a difference."
Y/n: "Don't you understand? I don't know why I did it...I think I wanted to."
D: "I don't care if you are a killer. We all are."
Draco slowly and carefully moved his hand towards yours as if he wasn't sure whether you wanted it. He covered your hand with his.
Y/n: "I'm sorry your father will go to Azkaban. I am sorry I lied to you the whole time...I am sorry I screwed your friend."
That last sentence came out of your mouth by mistake but as you later realized it had to be said. It was the toughest thing standing between you and Draco. Something that you remembered every time you looked at him. He stood up.
Y/n: "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that..."
D: "It's okay, Y/n. I'm glad we talked."
He walked back to the house. You were so relieved you two finally broke the silence. During the next three months you and Draco started spending more time together. It wasn't the same as it used to be but you knew that was adequate considering what you've both been through. You also knew it was going to get better and it did. You both knew you were so lucky that you were safe because the Ministry of Magic decided you didn't have to go to Azkaban. Lucius on the other hand wasn't that lucky. It was hard for Draco but since he's always had problems with his father it was kind of a relief. He also had you and you tried your best to take his mind off it. He tried to help you too and it worked until the night came. Every night you felt like screaming because you were so awfully lonely. You missed Tom so much. You missed his warm hands and the way he looked at you, the way he talked to you, the way he loved you...The pain was still inside of you. It was strange but you realized you didn't miss the killing. When you really thought about it it felt like that day when Tom died a part of you died with him. It was the part that he has awoken in you. The evil part. You knew there may come a time in your life when that part of you wakes up again if something or someone triggers it. But for now...let it sleep. There were many bad things you did but you didn't regret any of it. Your love for Tom was infinite and it will always stay that way. But life goes on.

"Life goes on." were the words you kept repeating in your head as you opened the door of your room and walked towards the door right across the hallway. There were moments in your life when something felt hundred percent right and this was one of them. The door flew open as you were about to knock. A cold hand grabbed yours and pulled you inside the room.
D: "Please, never leave me again."
Y/n: "I won't" you softly replied as he slammed his lips on yours. The End ♡.
