Moments Four
Two minutes after, Ryan left. Naomi and Nathan come home around the same time. By then I had already had a shower and changed into my pajamas. We all gathered in the living room sitting on the couch.
Nathan announced, "Mom will be back next month she called me when I was out and I met her at the bank. She gave me five hundred dollars for me, five hundred dollars for each of you two."
I and Naomi asked in unison, "Did she say where she was going?"
"Nope. I asked her several times and she refused to tell. But she did tell me I was in charge of you guys and the house needs to be clean when she arrives home on October 22nd."
Nathan hands us the money before going upstairs to bed.
Naomi stared at my face and asked, "Your skin looks like its glowing. What are you doing?"
I waved off her suspicion, "I have this new facial cream I got last month when I, you, and mom went to the nearby Target. It's working. You should get you some."
She nodded, taking my answer as correct.
"Night, Samphany," Naomi said.
"Night, Nay."
A couple minutes later I go up to my room and pack my bag for the sleepover with Aaliyah tomorrow.

I awoke at 5:30 am, picking out some jeans with a cute black cardigan, white tank and black Nike tennis shoes. I put my hair in two goddess braids and jumped into the shower. Five minutes after, I brushed my teeth and washed my face. Then I put on my outfit, grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs to the kitchen area. I grabbed a banana and a Nature Valley granola bar. My phone buzzed; picking it up. Ryan had texted me.
Ryan: I'm walking up now. I'll take you to the IHOP around the corner.
Samphany: Ok, I'm up. Don't knock, I'll open it.
I walked to the door and opened it. Ryan was dressed in grey sweat shirt and pants with grey Jordan 23s.
He smiled and asked, "Ready, Samphany?"
"I am," I answered.
We walked to his Jeep; he opens up the door for me and I get in. After, we're buckled in we drive towards the gates of the townhouse community.
Suddenly, Ryan rolled down his window.
"Bro," Ryan called, "You just getting here?"
The guy was about the same height as Ryan, brown skin, the same green eyes and lips. The guy walks up to the window.
"Yes, I just got here from Lashauna's house. You know I have to see my boo when I can. You know mom won't let me bring her home"
His attention turns to me, "Who's she?"
Ryan introduces me, "This is Samphany Xael, our neighbor across the way. And Samphany, this is my older brother Chris."
Chris asked curiously, "Aren't you Mrs. Xael's daughter?"
I nod.
"So, brother can I come wherever you two are going?" Chris asked.
"Sure," Ryan answered, "As long as you don't tell anybody what we're doing."
Chris jumps in the backseat.
"So much for just me and Ryan," I thought.

Our "secret" getaway trip was terrible. Half the stuff me and Ryan really wanted to talk about was interrupted by his obnoxious-ass brother Chris. To make it ten times worst, his girlfriend Lashauna comes along. Lashauna has a beautiful caramel complexion, brown eyes, and a diamond smile. Too bad, her personality and vocabulary wasn't a diamond standard. When I and Lashauna had our first conversation she was very rude towards me.
