Cassandra's pov-
As I'm still in the unknown room with my hands tied to a chair, my mind starts filling in with millions of thoughts, more than half of which are about the possibilities of what's going to happen to me. I wondered to myself, what could he possibly want from me? I had barely heard anything before I got caught. I can't even remember how I ended up here. A little backstory, I have been diagnosed with vasovagal syncope for over 10 years now. In case you don't know what that is, it's a condition where in stressful situations, there's a sudden drop of heart rate or blood pressure leading to fainting. I'm aware of the fact that they kidnapped me when I was unconscious cause if that wasn't the case, I would've fought them off and my martial arts training would have paid off but nope, that definitely did not happen and here I am, stuck in someone's supposed basement being threatened. I quickly drifted my head to the side as I heard footsteps approach. Again. I was growing increasingly anxious by every passing minute but had no choice but to stay still and pray that it wasn't him. For some reason, he makes me scared, and I have never been scared before. It was something about his aura, so dominating and demanding, ready to find out everything and anything that concerns him or his men. But, I wasn't going to give up that easily, however at that moment nervousness took over me as I clenched and unclenched my fists trying to keep my nerves under control. The footsteps grew louder and I could hear voices, muffled and quiet, just outside the room. The door was the only thing separating me from my possible threat. However, this tense moment was short lived and I sighed with relief as I began to hear those same footsteps retreating further away from the room I was in. For a moment, I almost didn't let myself breathe when a sudden thought struck me. I took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. I was still alone and those men standing outside were only 2 by now, I could easily fight them off and escape. I struggled against the ropes I was tied with, pulling and tugging as hard as I could. The ropes seemed to be getting looser... it was working! I kept pulling and eventually freed my right arm, but not before letting out a quiet cry. The ropes had dug into my skin and were starting to chafe. But it would all be worth it once I escaped, I thought to myself. I just had to get my left arm out. I pulled again and again, until finally, I managed to break the bonds of the ropes. I was finally free! This was my chance to escape, all I needed to do now was fight the guards and escape from here, forever.
As I approached the door, I found it to be locked from the outside. I remember watching those movies where the main character unlocks doors with her hairclip, I had to try that even if I was going to end up unsuccessful in my attempt. I took out a hairpin from the hair bun I had made earlier that day which was nothing but a mess now. I used that trick and it worked! I couldn't believe I did it! I was one step closer to escaping. I wasted no time in unlocking the door but then, I was to face his guards. As they charged at me, I too prepared myself for the attack. They were hard to fight and I have to admit, they were really well skilled but I too gave it my all and managed to tackle them to the ground, I was sure they were going to be groveling on the ground for at least a little while. As I looked around, it was huge and I had no idea where the door was. Trying my luck, I ran down one of the ways and yes! I exclaimed internally to myself, it was the main door. I found it! Just as I was thinking of my next move, I heard a voice whispering in my ear from behind me.
