Lolo's due date got closer and closer and I got even more nervous and Joy's havering around did not help at all infact it was quite upsetting.

I told him of my discomfort yet he turned a deaf ear to my concerns I told my parents about it and they spoke to him yet Joy was unrelenting.

Thando was the only one who could get him away from us for about an hour then they'd both come back with a rather panicked Joy .

Night fell and all was quiet yet I could not rest for the life of me, I kept looking at the peacefully sleeping Lolo besides me and my mind wondered.

I did not know the cause of my restlessness, everything felt uncomfortable until I heard a whimper from beside me I looked at Lolo and he was frowning in his sleeping.

Soon he opened his eyes, "Gift my water broke" that was all it took for me to get into action, I ran out of the room and alerted my whole family.

A doctor was called as it was already too late at night, the doctor got in and looked at us before entering the room where Lolo was.

His painful screams really had me sweating, I was frightened and so was everyone around me, then something strange happened, the full moon that had been shinning brightly began to darken.

The air around us seemed to get thicker, as if a presence was around us, I thought nothing of it yet I could hear the panicked whispers of our people.

I know they knew about the new royal member that was about to be born. The elation that was supposed to engulf that moment was not to be found.

It was strange and it made me even more nervous, I tried to use my gift to seek answers yet I saw nothing much to my utter frustration.

I groaned and looked at my parents hoping they had answers yet they seemed blank just like myself. Hours passed into the night yet the darkness did not clear neither was the little royal member any closer to being born.

After a few more passed the doctor came out and looked at us concerned, "the child is not coming out, I can't tell what is the problem since the future queen seems to have no issues that could prevent him from giving birth" the doctor's filled the space with silence.

"Is the child stuck?" I questioned, the doctor looked at me, "It seems to be so but if I attempt to do a C-section the queen might die" her words made everything still again.

It was as if fate was making me choose between my queen and my child, I had a gift yet at that moment I found out just how useless it was. I could heal, I could see the future, the past and the present yet I could not save my own love and child.

Slow tears just fell from my eyes, I looked at the moon and began to ask for a miracle, I cursed my useless gift at that very moment.

I looked at the doctor "please try to save my family" I begged my voice cracking a bit, I was heartbroken. " I'm sorry my prince but you have to choose" I closed my eyes what could I do?.

Just then the door opened and a sweating Joy, came in with Thando, Joy walked straight to the room Lolo was giving birth in without listening to our shouts trying to stop him.

He entered the room with the doctor and all of us right behind him, he walked straight to Lolo who was lying almost dead on the bed and touched his stomach.

He closed his eyes and slowly Lolo opened his eyes and began to push, it was as if he had his strength back, the doctor began to smile as she encouraged him to push a bit more to which he did and soon a loud cry of a new life spread across the room.

All of us spotted tears on our faces we were so happy, Joy opened his eyes and looked right at me before he raised his hand and the moon that had been dark for a long time slowly cleared.

Then he spoke looking at Lolo "what do you name the child?" Lolo raised his eyes and looked at Joy, "Zethu Amari" he spoke with a tired smile, I took his hand and kissed it.

"Thank you for giving me this gift my queen" Lolo, smiled at me and we kissed softly.

"Welcome Zethu Amari the future queen of the Zulu people may your reign be as great as your father's shall be" Joy proclaimed as he touched the newly born baby girl's forehead.

He then looked at me with a soft smile a smile I suddenly noticed was very rare, a smile i wished he'd show more.

"Your princess is just as blessed as you dear brother" with that I stood up and walked to him and without another thought I embraced him and tears just fell from my eyes. "I don't know what you did but you saved my family, thank you I shall forever be grateful" .

"Do not burden yourself with such thoughts, I did what I was supposed to do, did I not tell you I rival in darkness" I let go of him then looked at him. He smiled then walked out of the room with Thando fallowing behind.

I suddenly saw a vision which made me turn to Joy who was walking out the door. "Are you alright?" I asked him, he turned to me and a trail of blood was flowing from the conners of his lips.

"I'll be fine" he said turning once again, "but you're bleeding" everyone gasped and looked at him. They then turned to me confused, "What are you talking about Gift?" Apon their confusion I soon realised I was the only one who could see it.

"Sometimes only the eyes that can see beyond will glance apon the unknown" he said smiling once again to me.

"Take care of your family brother" with those words he walked away leaving me standing there stunned.

I walked up to Lolo who held our baby softly, he glowed, my queen was so beautiful and so was our newly born princess.

I sat next to them and kissed both their foreheads, I had such a beautiful family and I was thankful they were both safe.
