The roars continued , as I stood right in the middle of the pride .

As the roars became louder I began to feel a change in my body . I felt stronger somehow and I felt braver .

I looked at the biggest lion in the pride and my body as if controlled walked to it .

" Greetings young prince , I'm the guardian of the royal household , i bare a gift of bravery and strength for you "

I all but looked at the lion strangely , I thought the royal guardian was human.

" Humans are strong but they do have their weakness and they tend to be controlled by their emotions that is why I'm the guardian of the royal family".

" Then are you some royal pet?"
I asked curiously .

" Stupid human , you dare call this one a pet ?"

" I dare not sir , I was merely inquiring" . The lion scoffed yet it did not diminish it's royal aura.

" The gift I have given you will take you a long way , but I warn you don't let the power go to your head like all the other selfish kings before you had done " .

I was surprised that the king's before my reign had powers . " Is it true wise guardian ?" .

" Yes , I used to be generous with my gifts yet they all but destroyed my trust in humanity , they used their power for greed , so I decided to gift my powers to a woman instead but she was just as bad even worse ".

The lion's words caught my attention ," a woman? " The lion nodded .

" She is of royal blood , that is why I gave you a gift much greater than hers , I need you to defeat her and bring back the stone that holds her powers " .

I did not know which woman he was referring to but I had two in mind . Especially that Viper next to my beloved.

" It's time to return young prince , the land of the dead is not a place for the living , remember that woman is not who she appears" .

With those words I fell into darkness and finally opened my eyes . I looked outside the window and it was dawn .

The sun was just starting to peak from the horizon . The rosters made noises welcoming a new day .

I got out of bed and took my spear in hand , I went to the forest and began to train til sweat trailed down my well toned body .

My muscles were tight and I grinned at the amount of power I had . " Is it not too early for you to be playing around ?" .

A voice I knew all too well asked . I turned and met eye to eye with the gentle gaze of my beloved .

He was carrying firewood in his arms and had a small smile on his lips .

" It's not playing my queen Lolo , it's called training " I said swinging my spear around .

" Oh? From what I saw you were just playing , you seemed to admire your handsome self more than actually training " I raised my brow amused by his words .

" Well my dear Lolo , I'm training but now I'm hungry , I could use a home cooked breakfast " .

" Would thick porridge be alright?" He asked to my surprise . " That would be delightful" .

He smiled at me and began to walk away . I ran to him and grabbed him arm gently .

"  Will you come here to find me afterwards ?" He nodded and chuckled ." Of cause , or how else will I find you ".

I sighed in relief and decided to try my luck , I held his head back gently and kissed him softly .

Then moved away knowing he might try something and he did he threw the firewood at me and I dodged skillfully .

" You just had to take the opportunity to take advantage of me , could you not restrain yourself ?" He asked looking angry .

That would have looked far more intimidating if his eyes were not misty with tears that refused to fall and the slight bashful look made him look all the more delicious .

I could not help but tease him . He just looked to alluring to me , " I'm sorry Lolo , I just wanted my morning kiss , but my beloved can be so stingy " .

With that I provoked him , he scoffed and decided to ignore me no matter how much I coaxed him .

I held him in my arms and apologised ." Hey I'm sorry okay "  I spoke whispering into his ear .

His body tensed and I grinned happily . That was until a pest interrupted our small budding romance .

" Young prince , the young man from your beloved's family is coming , trust us it is not good for him to see you together ".

The trees said warning me . I sighed and let Lolo , go . I helped him with his firewood and walked away .

Just that moment he met with Jobe , his younger brother . " Grandfather has been looking for you , what is taking you so long?" .

His voice was a bit harsh and I did not like it one bit . Lolo , however was much calmer than me . " Mind your tone while speaking to me , I will not take your disrespect".

"What will you do ? Call your little boyfriend to fight with me ?" He asked mockingly .

I clenched by firsts at that , I really wanted to fight with him , but I knew Lolo , would not appreciate that .

" I will not call him to fight you , he can do one better " . With that he stepped gently on the grass and I got the message .

I commanded the grass spirits and they wrapped around Jobe's legs and tripped him .

Lolo , nodded at me and walked away from Jobe , who was still laying on the ground ashamed .

I also walked to the river happily , I had to take a swim to refresh myself . I swam , happily for a while til Joy , came to join  me .

" Gigi , I see your enjoying yourself " he spoke in a light tone that was strangely pleasing .

When had my brother become so calm? I wondered . I frowned suspiciously , " sir Xolo , is something wrong with my twin brother?" .

"No , young prince , your brother is alright , the calmer he is the better he can fight the demon within him " . I was confused by his words .

" Demon?" I asked him a bit worried about Joy.

" He is strong and can fight it , he must just not loose his temper , also the only person who can calm him is that boy who is always with him like a shadow " .

I nodded  thinking about how Thando , had calmed him the other day .

" Would you like to join me JoJo? " I asked him hopefully . " Yes , but only for a while ,since my self appointed guard will come looking for me ".

He snorted yet his eyes showed a small trace of warmth . I smiled too and we played together in the river , just like when we were young.

Joy , jumped on my back and I laughed stadying him so he won't fall . He was so much lighter than me so it was easy .

" What are you two doing ?" Two voices asked .

We both froze and spoke at the same time . " Oh crap"
