The three riders approached the halls.
Their arrival was noticed by Eowyn, the niece of king Theoden, who alerted the guards.
A guard named Gamling came to them.
"I cannot allow you into the Halls of Theoden armed. By order of Grima Wormtongue."
Aragorn and Legolas handed over their weapons, but Gandalf kept his staff.
"You would wish to part an old man with his walking stick?" asked Gandalf when Gamling asked him to hand it over.
He sighed and let them in, and Gandalf gave Aragorn a small wink.
Grima Wormtongue, a secret agent of Saruman and the one poisoning King Theoden, informed him Gandalf was there and he and his companions were not welcome.
"Why have you come... Gandalf the Grey?"
"I have come to release you of your spell... Theoden, King of Rohan, I release you!"
Nothing happened.
Theoden laughed a cold, dry laugh.
"You have no power here, Gandalf Stormcrow."
Gandalf held up his staff and hit Theoden with an invisible force, and began casting a spell to free Theoden.
"I told you to take the staff!" exclaimed Grima.
Aragorn and Legolas fought and beat up all the guards who came forward, and Aragorn held back Eowyn from Gandalf.
"If I go, Theoden dies!" exclaimed Theoden in Saruman's voice.
"You did not kill me, you will not kill him!" Gandalf hit Theoden once more with an invisible force.
"Begone!"
Theoden yelled and got up, but Gandalf knocked him back onto his throne.
He was released.
Eowyn ran to her uncle, and the age fell from his face.
Grima attempted to escape, but Legolas kicked him down.
Theoden realized what had happened, and he threw Grima down the stairs of the hall. He banished him, deciding not to kill him.Saruman was amazed. Gandalf had returned. He hadn't lost hope. Right now, his Uruk Hai army was almost complete. He was preparing an assault on Helm's Deep.
He suddenly heard horns sounding outside. Those were the sounds of his army. They weren't ready for battle yet!
Saruman went to the top of Orthanc, and looked down from the railing.
The Ents were attacking Isengard. They were destroying his army.
Treebeard saw an Orc set one of his companions aflame, and he stomped on him in anger.
Saruman felt something in his presence. Something he lusted for. Something among the skirmish. He looked onto the back of Treebeard and saw two hobbits.
Frodo looked at him.
For a moment, their eyes locked.
Frodo had an odd feeling. He felt like he wanted to give Saruman the Ring. He felt like the wizard could keep it safe.
Samwise threw a pan down on an Uruk, crushing its head.
Treebeard led some Ents to the dam, and they destroyed it.
Isengard was flooded.
Saruman looked down and only watched as his army, his forges, his industry was destroyed.
The threat of Saruman was no more.
