1.Ash's Story (Part 3: Hoenn)

Chapter 47

After saying goodbye to Wally, Tyson, and Morrison, we head back to Littleroot Town to meet Professor Birch and Brendan. They stay for a while before Insey, Trenor, Lisia, and East leave the group as well. Right now there are only 7 of us left.

That night, Alice and I are outside watching the stars, I say, "The stars are really bright, don't you think?"

"Yeah, and I liked it a lot." Alice smiles. "But it is really sad... once we leave Hoenn... we're going to part ways again for Serena or Lillie..."

"That might be true..." I frown a little before showing a pair of tickets, "Professor Birch congratulates me for winning the League, he bought two tickets to watch the Litleonid Meteor Shower in Mossdeep City. How about the two of us go there alone so we can have the best moment of our lives?"

"Only two of us?" Alice asks with a tease.

"Only." I nod. Alice has a little pink on her cheeks. "Sure. I like to."

The next day, when the seven of us are outside of the lab, we notice the news. "...And tomorrow the long-awaited star show will finally begin! We've got all the latest news and updates!"

"Guys! Check this out!" Max says as we look at the TV. "At last the Litleonid meteor shower returns to illuminate Hoenn's night sky! The star show held at Mossdeep Space Center will provide the best view of the shooting stars from the center's lofty viewing deck! We hope you all will take the chance to join..."

"It will be great if we get the tickets to see that. Just think how romantic it sounds." Minami says.

May says, "I also heard from my Mom that our Dad got her to see the shower 11 years ago when they last passed by as well."

"Yeah. But the tickets are already sold out... I wonder if there's another way to watch the meteor shower." Reisa adds.

Alice and I inwardly smirk as we already have the tickets given to us by Professor Birch, but it will be a problem to keep this a secret. When we head outside, we see a person talking to a Whismur.

"Hey, you were the one that battled Archie with the Salamence..." Ash says.

"Woah, are we in sync or what! You know, I was thinking about you!" The girl says.

"About me?" Ash asks, and Alice suddenly starts to feel jealous.

"It's great to meet you!... It is our first real meeting, right? Yeah. That's right. Of course, it is! The name's Zinnia. And you... Well, I know ALL about you. You're Ash Ketchum, of course. You're the Hoenn League winner! And you're one of those special few who use Mega Evolution to get even closer to their Pokémon... Now, aren't you?"

"Well... I am..." I say, I don't know what the girl is about, so I decide to ask, "So why did you leave that early without introducing yourself back then?"

Before she can reply, her Whismur is tugging her legwear and Zinnia says, "Okay, I know, I know. I'll leave it alone. Look, I'm stopping! But this sure is a ni-i-i-ice place, isn't it? Littleroot Town. And everybody living here is just so ni-i-i-ice, too."

Then she turns to see us petrified on the spot, and then she says, "...Oops! So-o-o-rry. I didn't mean to go on like that. We should keep our first meeting short and sweet, don't you think? Until next time, then. Buh-bye!" Then the girl leaves as well as her Whismur.

"What is that all about?" May asks.

"I have no idea." Max says.

"Ughhh..." We hear Brendan scream, so we go into the lab and find Professor Birch applying medicine on Brendan's ingured leg.
