1.Ash's Story (Part 3: Hoenn)

Chapter 52

When we arrive at the Battle Resort, we find Wally who's waiting for us at the deck. "Ah! Guys! So you came, too!"

"Hi, Wally, what are you doing here?" I ask.

"Mr. Norman actually gave me a ticket. I just got here a little while ago. So this is the Battle Resort... A tropical paradise that only the lucky few get to visit..." Wally says. "I'm getting pumped just standing here! Let's check it out!"

"So our Dad just gave you the ticket? That's cool." Max says.

When we arrive on land, we decide to look around and there is a man walking toward us. "You there... You don't look like spectators. You must be Trainers who came here for a challenge, correct?"

"Challenge?" We ask with confusion.

"You see, people who come to the Battle Resort are divided into two types! Those who come to see battles, and those who come to battle!" The man says.

"Oh, is that right? But where can we battle?" Wally asks.

"What? You don't know the Battle Maison?" The man asks.

"No, I don't..."

I say, "I thought that was something we could find in Kalos. The Battle Maison is actually a cool facility where we can battle with all kinds of formats."

"I see. We will be sure to do that!" Then the collector decides to give us the VS. Recorder, which I already have one, so May and Wally are the ones who get them.

"The Battle Maison, I'm curious about what kind of place it is, but I think I'll take a look around the island first. I've never been so far from home before, and I've never visited anything like a resort! So I'll be off exploring... But I'll see you later! I hope we can battle again, here in this resort!"

We explore the area and we also find a Day Care in the place where we can leave Pokemon to lay eggs, we also find a male Team Magma Grunt and a female Team Aqua Grunt who have fallen in love and abandoned their teams to be together. While they agree to stay together no matter how their teams decide to punish them, two other grunts arrive to assure them that will be fine, and offer their blessings. After leaving and entering again, the couple tells us that they have decided to return to their respective teams, hoping to help mediate the tension between the teams.

And there is also the Whismur minigame, and we play it and we have a lot of fun. However, the fun is over when we find a man lying on the beach.

"Hey, isn't that..." Alice asks.

"Yeah! It's Mr. Looker!" I say as we rush towards the man. Max asks, "You know this guy?"

"He's a member of the International Police." I say. "But what is he doing here?"

As Alice calls my Mom, Looker says, "...You. I want to ask you something. Where...where am I?"

"We're in the Hoenn Region. Mr. Looker, it's us!" I say.

"Something's not right, I think Mr. Looker has an amnesia..." Minami says.

"And judging by the soaking outfit, he must have fallen into the water..." Mark says.

After my Mom arrives, she asks us to bring Looker into one of the empty houses in the Battle Resort. My Mom asks, "Looker, can you remember anything?"

"I apologize for my actions earlier. The truth of the matter is... I have no idea in the world what I am doing here... Or even who I am. The first thing of which I can remember is awakening here on this beach. Baffled, lacking awareness of the circumstances that brought me here... And at that moment, you appeared! I feel...as though I have some duty that I should be accomplishing... But of it, I can remember nothing. Please, pardon me for going on about myself. In fact... I feel quite uneasy. Of course, I must thank you for finding me."
