My Sweet Cherry Pie

Return of the broad- Chapter 6

Cherry's POV
As I woke up the next morning the sun was blaring through the windows. I turned and saw that Dally was still sleeping next to me. I gently kissed him and got up to shower.
I changed into a bright red tank top, some black leather jeans, and a pair of black converse. When I came out Dally was sitting on the bed yawning. As soon as he saw me walk in, he stood and walked towards me. "Morning beautiful." He said in his extremely sexy morning voice. He wrapped his arms around my waist, and kissed the top of my head. "So what are we gonna be doin' today?" I asked as I put my arms around his neck. "Well I gotta go to Buck's later to help him with some plumbing problems, but otherwise I'm as free as can be." He said. I looked up at him. "Well I was thinkin me, you and the rest of the gang could head down to the lake for a few hours." He smiled. "I think that would be great." I smirked. Then we headed down into the kitchen for breakfast.
I saw Ponyboy trying to cook some bacon, while Two-Bit and Steve were havin a fight with chocolate cake. I giggled. Dally jogged down the hall to join them. "I swear I can't get nothin' done in this house with those hooligans running everywhere." I laughed. "Want some help Pony?" I offered. "Yeah sure." He handed me the carton of eggs. "Get crackin'."
About 20 minutes later Pony yelled, "Breakfast's ready!" Darry got up from watching TV and sat down at the table. Then in ran Steve, Two-Bit, and Dally. As soon as everyone sat down I said, "Hey me and Dally were thinkin it'd be cool if we'd all go down to the lake for a couple hours today." Steve and Two-Bit nodded. "I'm up for it!" Steve said. "Me two!" Said Two-Bit. "I guess I'll go, but I have to finish that report later." Ponyboy said. "Sounds good." Darry said as he finished up his breakfast. "I'll start packin' the cars." Then he got up and headed outside. Dally smiled at me. "Today's sure gonna be fun, sugarplum." He said and gave me a quick peck on the lips. After breakfast everybody got up and started packing. Then we all piled into the cars.

Dally's POV
It was a nice ride to the lake. The air smelled fresh and clean. Cherry was still tired so she fell asleep along the way. She was leaning her head on my shoulder, and I put my arm around her, then kissed the top of her head. Two-bit was driving and Johnny was riding shotgun, so me and Cherry were in the backseat. I saw Two-Bit smile at me through the rear view mirror. "You really love her don't you?" He asked. I smiled and looked down at Cherry. "I do man, I really do." I said. Johnny turned to look at me. "I can't wait till I get a girl like that." He said. "Some day Kid, some day." He chuckled and turned so he was watching the open road.

Cherry's POV
When we got to the lake I hopped out of Two-Bit's car headed to the bathrooms to get changed, then I grabbed my kayak. Dally grabbed his too. We anchored our kayaks out on the water while the rest of the gang got unpacked. "You ready to race Cherry pie?" Dally asked me as he got into his kayak. "You ready to loose Dally bear?" I smiled. He laughed "We'll see about that." "On the count of three." I heard him say. "One... Two..." Then he took off. "Dallas Winston you get your behind back here!" I yelled, then laughed as I quickly caught up with him. We were almost to the other side of the lake when my boat turned and threw me out. I came up under it. Then I felt someone jump in the water. Dally swam towards me. " Hey I'll call it a tie if you give me a kiss." He pointed to his cheek. I smiled. "Why would I ever pass up an offer like that?" I said. Then I kissed him on the lips passionately. We made out for at least five minutes, then Darry took the kayak off of us. "Hey lovebirds, we're gonna set up for lunch soon." Then Dally and I got out. We both looked at Darry, then back again at each other. "Why are you guys looking at me weird?" He asked. Then me and Dally knocked over his kayak, sending him flying into the water. He popped back up a minute later, "I'm gonna get you Winston." He said and splashed some water at him. "In your dreams Curtis." Dally splashed him back, and soon it was an all out war.
After lunch we all started to head back. I helped pack up the cars and got in. On the way there Dally mentioned he was gonna head to bucks as soon as he got to Pony's, so I decided that I was gonna watch some TV with Johnny and Two-bit.

Dally's POV
When we got to Pony's I headed outside to my car. As I was about to open my door Cherry came out. She came over and kissed my cheek. "You better come back soon." She said. I smiled, she really did care about me but, not as much as I care about her. I got in and rolled down the window. "I love you." I said. She waved and I drove away.

I arrived at Buck's shortly. Of course he was drunk off his ass. He wobbled in, "Hey Dal the screwy pipe's up here." Buck lead me upstairs to the bathroom sink. "Cool man, I'll be down in a bit." I said as I opened my tool box and took out a wrench. After I fixed the pipe I headed into Buck's bedroom to lie down for a minute. I closed my eyes. Then I heard the door shut. I sat up and opened my eyes. The person I saw was definitely not who I wanted to see. "Sylvia?"

Cherry's POV
I walked into Buck's. There was a raging party going on, I asked him if he'd seen Dally. He told me that he was upstairs fixing the pipe. I headed into the bathroom expecting to see him in there but I heard voices in the next room. I opened the door and saw some greaser girl kissing Dally, it almost looked like she was forcing herself on him but I couldn't tell. I ran out of that room as fast as I could. When I was going down the stairs I heard Dally yell for me, "Cherry I swear it's not what it looks like!" After I was out the door I saw Dally open it and run after me but, I was too fast. I ran all the way to Pony's house. "Hey Cher-" Ponyboy started. "Can't talk right now." I said. I ran into my bedroom and locked the door. I was leaning against it and, I slowly slid down the door. I put my head on my knees and cried my heart out. I must've sobbed for hours because after I was done I heard a knock at the door. "Who is it?" I asked. "It's Johnny, can I come in?" I got up and unlocked the door, then went to sit down by it. He looked at me then sat down next to me. "Was it Dally?" He asked, and I nodded. I hugged him and cried for about 5 minutes, then I told him what I saw. "I believe you, Dally may be cold sometimes but he would never cheat on someone, especially you because of how much he loves you." I sniffled. "You think so?" He smiled. "I know so." I hugged him quickly and got up. I wiped away my tears, I turned to look at Johnny. "Will you tell me if he stops by?" He looked at me with sympathy in his eyes. "Of course." He said and with that he walked out.

Dally's POV
I can't believe Sylvia would do something like that to me, especially after I broke up with her years ago. I tried running after Cherry but she was too fast. I headed back into Buck's, Sylvia was lying on the bed trying to look sexy. "Ready for more baby?" She asked, then smirked. I was so angry at her there were no words. "GET THE FUCK OUT SYLVIA, AND DON'T COME BACK!!!" I screamed. She looked scared and she ran out of Buck's quickly. I sat on the bed and cried. No I sobbed. I couldn't lose Cherry not after all we'd been through, I love her too much. After I finished crying it was about 3:00am so I thought I would try and tell Cherry what really happened.

Cherry's POV
It was 3:00am and I was still up. The window was open and a light breeze was blowing in. I could hear the faint whistle of the train to Windrixville. All of a sudden a heard a soft knock at the door. I opened it to see a tear stained face looking back at me. It was Dally. "What do you want?" I asked. He looked at me with his somber eyes. "Please Cherry let me in so I can explain." I glared at him for a minute, then I saw the pain in his eyes was even more prominent than the pain in mine. I opened the door wider to let him in. He sat down on the bed. "Please before you make any decisions, let me explain." I glared at him but nodded for him to continue. "It all happened so quick, I was fixing the pipe under the sink then when I was finished I went to go lie down for a minute next thing I know the door shuts, then Sylvia is on top of me, kissing me." "I pushed her away, I tried to catch up with you but you were long gone, I went back in and told her to go to hell and well, here I am." He said. "Please forgive me Cherry, you know I would never do anything to hurt you." He looked at me. I ran over and hugged him with all my might. As I did he let out a sigh of relief. He hugged me so tight as I cried, promising me that he would never let go. "I thought I almost lost you Cherry Valance." He kissed the top of my head. He wiped away my tears. I looked up at him with teary eyes. "I thought I had already lost you Dallas Winston." I said then I buried my face in his chest. Still crying a bit, in fear of what could've happened. "Shhh.." He cooed. " I'll never leave you Cherry pie." And with that I fell asleep in his arms. Never wanting to let go.
