I woke up from my alarm and started tapping scara.
"Scara! Come on, we gotta get ready!" I shouted.
"Wha- but it's 6 AM..!?" Scara sat up.
"Exactly!" I pulled scara out of bed.
*time skip*
We walked inside the headquarters and went up the elevator to floor 23. Where Sara works.
"Morning, Sara, Jefferson, and I are here to see if you have any cases for us?" I asked.
"Jefferson..? Uhm.. nevermind. Yes, in fact, I do. Have you heard of the Case of Patient 108?" Sara looked at both of us.
We both shook our heads.
"Ughh.. okay, well, it's a long story. Why don't you two check this document for more information." Sara handed us a stack of paper.
I grabbed it and began to read it with scara.
'THE CASE OF PATIENT 108'
[9/27/23]
'Around 12 AM in the hospital, patient 108 went missing mysteriously. Patient 108 is blind and is missing 2 arms and 1 leg. Patient 108's doctor and nurse's last check-up was at around 3:37 pm. Patient 108 also has an anxiety disorder. Security footage shows that Patient 108 was screaming in pain at around 11:43 PM and later shown lurking around the hallways of the hospital. Not only did Patient 108 disappear, but so did security. Patient 108's room number is #67. As police searched the room for evidence, the only thing found was blood on the walls, floor, and bed. Patient 108 is 32 years of age and female. Patient 108 hasn't been found yet.'
I turned to look at scara, and he looked back at me.
"U-uhm.. were done reading." I handed Sara back the pages.
"Great. Do you and 'Jefferson' think you can do it?" Sara questioned.
Scara looked at me, worried.
"Yes, yes, we can." I chimed.
"Perfect! Here's all the other information, addresses, family members, doctors, and nurses, and you get the point." Sara handed me a folder.
Scara and I walked out of her room and into my office.
"Okay, scara, we should plan out what we want to do. This case is like.. nothing I have ever done before." I mumbled.
"I-I can tell.." scara picked up a few papers and began reading.
"Okay, I think we should go for her family members first. Maybe they know something about this?" I asked.
"I guess.." scara stood up.
We walked towards my car and drove to the house.
*time skip*
By the time we got there, the sky was full of fog. And the house looked abandoned.
"U-uhm Heizou..are you s.. sure this is the right place?" Scara stuttered.
I nodded and held his hand, knowing he was scared. Scara gripped onto my hand back tightly.
I walked in front of scara and knocked on the door.
*no answer*
I knocked again, and the door swung open fast.
A man holding a gun stood there looking at us. Scara then hid behind me.
"Who are you! How do you know where I live! You two better get out of here if you wanna stay alive!" The man shouted at us.
