amber slowly pulls up towards the house, pounding music and the chatter and laughter from teenagers is heard.
" amber why are you having a party? " aurora asks a look of shock on her pale face.
" i'm sorry but it's a memorial for wes, i can kick everyone out if you want. " amber says whilst placing a hand on top of auroras.
" no no it's okay.. " the blonde girl replies a look of remorse overtaking her face.
" are you sure because i don't mind. "
" no amber honestly it's okay. " aurora reassures.
" anything for you ari. " amber says.
aurora thought she was saying that as a kind sweet supportive friend, but oh was she wrong.
amber opens her car door up and walks around to the over side to let the blonde out, she helps aurora get out of the car slowly making sure she doesn't hurt her leg.
" i've got you ari. " amber says whilst holding the small girl by her shoulder.
slowly the make it up the front lawn and get to the porch, once they make it inside all eyes are on aurora.
" holy shit aurora! " mindy says whilst rushing over to the girl.
" are you okay? " the curly haired girl questions, sincerity overtaking her face.
" as good as i can be. " the blonde says plainly, still ignoring everything that's happened that day.
mindy smiles in return whilst embracing the girl but making sure not to squeeze to hard in case it hurts her, whilst they are hugging amber clenched her jaw tightly and walks away.
" do you want a drink? " mindy asks still smiling softly.
" um no thanks. " the blonde says looking around to find amber since she disappeared.
" okay well if you need anything i'll be in the living room. " mindy says softly.
" okay. "
and with that the brown haired girl walked off in the direction of the living room leaving aurora all by herself in the crowded entry way.
the blonde girl slowly makes her way to the kitchen, to which she sees chad.
chad gets a shot glass poured and moved to the center of the room.
" hey, to wes! " the tanned boy says people
chanting after him." beautiful son of a bitch. "chad says before downing his drink.
" i can second that. " aurora says walking over to the tipsy boy.
" fuck aurora what are you doing here. " he says wide eyed.
the girl only shrugs in response.
" shots really this is supposed to be a memorial. " amber says visibly annoyed.
" well this is how i mourn and distract myself from the looming spectre of death. " which aurora grimaces to.
suddenly mindy comes into the kitchen " hey were low on beer. "
" there's more in the basement i'll go get some. " amber says oblivious.
" i'm going with her, does that girl not understand the main rule of a horror film don't go into a creepy basement alone, god you people are idiots. " mindy groans before following amber into the basement.
" well i'm going to find liv. " chad says whilst walking off toward the living room.
aurora decided to walk over to ambers room and lye down, today had been a lot to handle.
she held on the stair railing making her way up the staircase slowly.
eventually she makes it into ambers room, she lays down on the bed, her thoughts over taking her.
𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐯 :
how could they be dead everyone who cared for her is pretty much dead.
dewey is gone. wes is gone.
two of the most important people in her life are gone.
maybe if she didn't let dewey stay, maybe if she wasn't such a baby and helped dewey he wouldn't be dead.
and wes..
if she had just of tried getting the killer off him maybe he would be alive and at this party with her aswell.
all she could think about was what ifs.
she was wondering how she could continue life without them...
and with that she fell asleep.
