the group all sat down on a bench with mindy stood infront of them to give her big suspects speech.

ethan and aurora sat with her leg on top of his and their hand joined together.

" as terrifying as this all is im actually glad i get a chance to redeem myself for not calling the killers last time. " mindy starts.

" the way i see it someone is out to make a sequel to the requel. "

anika puts her hand up " um what's a requel? "

mindy points back at her " you're beautiful sweetie let's hold questions to the end. " which anika smiles sweetly at a bit confused.

" stab 1 took place in woodsboro, stab 2 took place in collage. " sam explains.

" so we think that the killer is trying to copy the movies? " tara questions.

" that is one possibility heroes now in collage check, suspicious new characters brought in to round out the suspect list. " mindy says whilst looking at ethan quinn and anika.

" and or body count check check and check. "

" i don't like this. " ethan mumbles which makes aurora squeeze his hand in comfort.

" but it can't just be about stab 2. " mindy says.

" why not. " tara looks at mindy confused.

" it would make sense if this were just a sequel, but we're not in a sequel because nobody just makes sequels anymore we're in a franchise! and there are certain rules to a continuing franchise. " the curly haired girl says with enthusiasm.

sam groans " i had a feeling. "

" rule one everything is bigger than last time bigger budget, bigger cast, bigger body count, longer chases, shoot outs, beheadings. " mindy lists.

" you got to top what came before to keep people coming back. " mindy finishes.

" beheadings? " chad questions.

" beheadings. " mindy confirms.

" rule two whatever happened last time expect the opposite franchises only survive by subverting expectations if the killers last time were whiny snowflake film nerds with letterboxd accounts instead of personalities you can bet the opposite will be true here. "

" and rule three no one is safe lagacy characters? cannon fodder at this point usually brought back only to be killed off in some cheap bit for nostalgia it's not looking good for gale and kirby and maybe even aurora. "

" me? " aurora says confused.

" you were a part of the 2011 killings so that kind of makes you a legacy character. " mindy explains.

" thanks mindy. " the girl roles her eyes.

" and that's not even the worse part. " mindy continues.

" what can be worse then dieing? " aurora scoffs.

" this is the part where she tells us the worst part. " chad jokes.

" the worst part is franchises are just continuing episodic instalments designed to boost an ip which menas main characters are completely expendable now to laurie strode, nancy thompson, ellen ripley, sally hardesty, jigsaw, tony stark. " mindy lists.

" james bond! " aurora shouts out.

" thank you aurora. " mindy grins.

" they all died so their franchises could live on, that means it's not just the friend group, any of us could go at any time, especially sam tara and aurora.. " mindy explains.
