"Again!" A strict voice called out, followed by the sound of something cutting through wind twice in succession.
Suddenly, the sound of something smacking on skin echoed in the air, followed by another call.
"Again!"
Within the courtyard of a mansion were two people. A tall man, with slicked back dark red tinted hair with sharp strands pointing outward, held a closed fan in his grasp. "You're not leaving here until you master this one singular form. "Now, I said AGAIN!"
The man yelled, as he swung the fan onto the bare arm of a younger girl in front of him, with her skin covered in bruises. She held a blank expression under her messy, red tinted hair, before holding up her wooden sword over her head, and taking a deep breath as she stepped forward and brought the sword downward in a circular swing.
Completing the motion with another horizontal swing, a smile slowly began curling up the girl's face.
Before she suddenly got struck by the fan again.
"Not good enough!" The man exclaimed. "You're one of those chosen by those above! This should be child's play to you!"
"But Dad... I performed what you instructed, exactly what you described." The girl muttered.
The girl's father sighed to himself, pinching the bridge of his nose. "But it wasn't perfect. When the time comes, anything less than that, you'll be just as much of a disgrace as he was."
Crouching down beside his daughter, the man grabbed the girl by her shoulder. "Akina... We're doing this out of love. You're different from everyone else. You're faster, you're stronger..."
The girl named Akina looked over at her dad with blank yellow eyes, as he continued. "You're better. You're our bloodline's second chance, and we want you to realize it!"
"I see." Akina flatly responded, as if she completely disregarded everything that was said to her. Her father raised an eyebrow to this, as Akina took up the stance to perform the attack again. And yet, the girl's mind raced with a singular thought that's been hammered into her.
"I... have to be the strongest..."
Waiting for her dad's order, Akina held the wooden sword over her head once more. The man, however, glared down at her daughter now that her gaze was away, before he looked down at the back of the girl's neck.
Beneath her messy red hair, and on her skin, was a mark of red flames spreading across the back of her neck.
"You were touched by the gods, Akina..." The man thought to himself. "And I will do whatever it takes for you to realize your destiny."
Closing his eyes, the man declared once more to his daughter.
"Again!"

"Huh? You're taking soup to go?" An old voice questioned.
"...No, Mr Ryuunosuke. I'm becoming a Tsuguko."
Within the small house that belonged to said Mr Ryuunosuke, the gray haired elder sat on the floor with a cup of tea in his hands. His confused face from his poor hearing never faded, as another voice sighed from across the small living room.
"...Basically, I'm going to be shadowing Mr Rengoku, now that I've been in the Demon Slayer corps for a while now." Spoke the orange haired Kanosora girl, sitting across from where Ryuunosuke was, with her own cup of tea.
However, Tanebi's hair was longer, yet now kept in a tidy ponytail, making her crimson eyes actually visible for once. And her attire now consisted of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, with a plain white haori over her jacket.
