"Tanebiii!" A young voice called out. "Ta! Ne! Bi!!! Ta! Ne! Bi!!!!" Suddenly, the floor hatch of an old attic swung upon, as a young Sekien with short hair crawled in. "We hit the jackpot today!" He exclaimed in excitement. Across the attic, Tanebi groaned and rolled off the mattress she was sleeping on, hitting the wooden floorboards with a loud thud. "What." She flatly spoke, as she covered her ears. "Why are you yelling so loud?"
"The boss caught wind of some American tourists in town, and had me see how loaded they were!" Sekien was beaming in joy, and completely ignored his sister. "AND HOLY SHIT THEY WERE!"
Taking out a poorly wrapped paper bag with something tall inside of it, Sekien held up a suspiciously-bottle shaped wrapped object. "Mokuzai knew those fuckers had a bottle of foreign wine on them, but he was too clueless to realise they had another!"
Sekien wailed with uncontrollable laughter, as Tanebi suddenly widened the crimson eyes behind her messy orange hair in shock. "You stole the extra?! Are you serious? Neither of us can drink that, we're not old enough, Sekien!"
"Tanebi, there's no laws against foreign alcohol, I can drink whatever I want!"
Sekien was quick to start opening the paper bag, as Tanebi had a dumbfounded face behind her eye covering hair. "T-There definitely is one out there, surely..." She theorized, only to immediately get countered. "Well I don't care! How bout that!" Sekien retorted with a grin. "I stole this right under Mokuzai and the American's noses! Just for us! So who cares about laws and ssshit!" Sekien slightly slurred his words, as he began unwrapping the bottle.
Tanebi was just dumbfounded, before she then sighed with a smile. "Ah, whatever. What's the worst that can happen?" She cackled. "Let's see whatcha got!"
"BEHOLD!!!" Sekien screamed out, before drawing the bottle from the bag like a sword, and raising a near empty wine bottle with English writing on it. Tanebi's face quickly began drooping and melting in confusion, as Sekien's smile slowly dropped.
"What the-" He stammered. "I coulda sworn it was full or something. Even after a little sip..."
"After a little sip?" Tanebi thought, as she looked at the almost-empty bottle in Sekien's grasp, before realization struck her in an instant.
Tanebi suddenly snorted, holding in laughter for only a second before bursting. She fell to the floor wheezing as she laughed. "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! YOU DRANK IT ALL!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!"
"Whaaat the-" Stammered the younger brother. "Nuh uh!"
"Yuh huh!"
"NUH UH!"
"YUH HUH!"
"Prove it!"
"You've been screaming like an idiot since you got home!" Tanebi wheezed. "A drunk idiot!"
"Hey, I've never done such a thing, duuumbass!" Sekien retorted as if it was the greatest defense. However, all he heard in response was Tanebi falling to the ground with a thud, bursting into even heavier laughter. "THIS CAN'T BE REAL!!!" Tanebi wheezed, squirming on the floor in laughter. Sekien suddenly couldn't help but start laughing in his tipsy self. "Hey, what's so funny?"
But Tanebi did nothing but laugh and squirm with no response. Causing a chain reaction and making Sekien begin laughing more loudly too.
"It's hard to make Tanebi laugh this hard these days..." Sekien thought. "Imagine what can happen when we finally get outta here! So long as Tanebi's having the best possible life she can..."
Sekien had one more quick glance at his older sister's laughing and beaming face.
"Everything is worth it."
