The noise of an alarm filled the silence of the small house. It was a small house that Sebastian had rented out for a while. The demon had already found Zero in the world recently, the entity arrived a couple of days prior to Sebastian and Hikari settling into the home. Like usual, Sebastian forced Zero to attend a school; somehow also manipulating the school to have an eight year old attend. Well, when they saw the amount of money he'd offered, they couldn't exactly declined. It was only for a week as well, nothing too permanent. A hand slammed down on the cow alarm clock, a groan escaping a girl's lips.  Hikari pulled the blanket over her face, trying her best to block out the light. That was until she remembered what Sebastian had signed her up to. Another school that she would somehow find herself removed from.
"Oh no!" Hikari whined, forcing herself out from her warm and comfy bed.
Sebastian walked down the hallway, scowling as he held onto the stair banister, glancing upstairs.
"Hikari!" He yelled," Are you up?"
"I am!" Hikari yelped, a thud noise shortly followed.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow, sighing.
"Zero's already at school..."
Hikari desperately shoved on her green sweater, uncaring for the uniform they'd given her. Actually, no, she was feeling generous since it was her first day. She put on the bow that the school made girls wear, smirking in the mirror, before rushing downstairs.

Hikari ran into the dining room, Sebastian assessing her outfit with a scowl as he arranged the food he'd laid out.
"What happened to your uniform?"
"Uh..." Hikari sweated," Did Zero eat already?"
Sebastian nodded," Honestly, didn't I tell you to set your alarm?"
Hikari rolled her eyes, grabbing her lunch from the table and clumsily fitting it into her bag.
"Byeeee!" She giggled, running off.
Sebastian frowned," No breakfast? It's delicious. It took me a lot of effort to make."
Hikari glanced back, Sebastian shooting her a smug look as he bit into his food; the girl was clearly starving, but unable to eat she was that late. She bounced on the balls of her feet, unsure, before grimacing and running off. The girl quickly poked her head around the door.
"You're awful!" She pouted, Sebastian chuckling.
Hikari swept back to the front door, leaving the small home. As she ran out, the two cats that Sebastian had bribe tamed, glanced at her. She ignored them, running down the street until she reached main town. The girl leapt over a bush, groaning as she got her skirt attached to a twig; battering it off and continuing to run. On the bridge above was a long line of runners, that was the last thing Hikari wanted to be obstructed by. She screamed, nearly tripping and her shoe flying off and landing on the side of the pavement. She hobbled over it, groaning in sheer pain as the line caught up, barricading her and her shoe.
"Oh c'mon!" She wailed.

Zero sat in class, bored out of his mind. It was a class of eighteen year olds and somehow Sebastian had bribed Hikari into the class. The teachers were hardly pleased, the students on the other hand enjoyed cooing about an eight year old. She was yet again late. Zero felt like the class would drag on forever.
"The kingdom is gone..." The teacher lectured, scribbling the words onto the board in chalk," yet the mountains and rivers remain. And the castle is draped..."
Zero paused, noticing some students glance back, as a sliding door opened. He rolled his eyes, watching Hikari try to crouch sneak to her desk, a few snickering.
"in the vivid green of spring."
As the teacher turned to glance at his lecture book, he immediately noticed the demon's navy blue hair.
"Miss Michaelis. Nice of you to join us. Sit down."
"Yes!" Hikari yelped, standing up and blushing.
The class broke off into laughter, all except Zero who deadpanned at her stupidity, the girl staring at the floor as she shuffled into her seat behind Zero's desk. Her age never helped, since the chairs were designed for 18 year olds, the students found it even more funny that the child couldn't even touch the floor. Hikari pouted, glancing to look at the class, who all stared at her, chuckling. Her gaze immediately fell on a handsome male, her face flushing. It wasn't exactly bizarre for an eight year old to have a crush, but if it was the other way around, it would no longer be so innocent. Hikari bowed her head in shame, just wanting to go home.
