"Be safe," Sirius smiled, pulling the old hat, full of memories, a little further down on top of Jovie's head.

Jovina smiled, "it's just Christmas shopping."

Sirius glanced down, a sly grin playing at his lips as he placed a hand on his wife's expanded belly, "you have precious cargo."

Jovie grinned, "two weeks till she pops, can't wait, my backs killing me."

"I'm sure it is," he laid a kiss on his wife's cheek, "better be off."

The blonde stepped back into the fireplace, picking up a pile of floo powder. She mouthed an 'I love you' before throwing down the powder and saying, "Diagon Alley!"

In a flash of black smoke and green fire the bustle of the Christmas filled alley appeared. Jovie stepped out, pulling her coat tighter as she made her down the cobblestone pathway. Reaching the outside of her best friend's favorite store she smiled, stepping inside.

At the sight of a redhead turned away from her looking at a bookshelf, her face lit up, "Lily!"

Lily turned, "oh my gosh! You're totally about to pop!"

The two girls hugged, Jovie glancing around for her godson, "is Harry with you?"

Lily sighed, "yeah, wish James could've taken him. He's with Kimmy at the front desk, she hadn't seen him yet."

   "Ready to check out?"

   "Yes!"

The two girls made their way to the blonde at the desk with the happy baby. She smiled at the sight of the younger girls, "Jovie! It's been awhile."

She handed Harry back over to his mom as she took her book to scan. After paying and having the book bagged the two girls made their way back into the alleyway, continuing on with their Christmas shopping.

It took two hours for everything to be bought, including a meal to keep them satisfied throughout their shopping journey.

   "See you tonight for dinner?"

Lily smiled, her cheeks the same shade as her hair, "everyone will be here at eight right?"

   "You know we're always late."

   "Don't be, Jame's is cooking."

Jovie grins, "we'll see if the little one allows."

   "We're gonna be late!"

"Zip me up please," Jovie urges in frustration.

Sirius grins, "or I could unzip you?"

"I'm still here!" Remus called from the other room, poking his head in, "you two are impossible."

Sirius frowns, zipping his wife's maternity dress and shooting his best friend a glare. "Don't you know how to knock?"

   Remus smiles, "Jovie let's go."

"Of course Rem," the blonde grabs her purse, taking Remus' arm and following him out to the front door of their small home.

Sirius grumbles, following behind them to the fireplace, "that is my wife you know?"

   Jovie smiles, "see you there."

In the blink of an eye she was in her friend's living room, looking into the kitchen where plates of their favorite foods were laid out.

The blonde grinned, "it looks great James."

She turned to find her friend, the kitchen and living room empty. The sounds of Harry's cries filled the house and Remus and Jovie exchange nervous glances.

Jovie placed a cautious hand on her stomach, making her way through the living room to the front door.

She froze, the blood draining from her face at the sight of James on the ground, his body twisted in an unnatural position and his wand in his hand.

   Her lips quivered, "James?"

Remus pushed past her, his eyes wide as he stormed up the stairs, "Lily! Harry!"

Jovie slowly followed, wrenching her eyes from her best friends body as she crawled up the stairs. She sutmbled into Remus' back, looking over his shoulder to see Lily in a similar state to her husband, Harry in his crib crying.

Just mere hours ago they were together, planning Christmas.

Tears slide down the blonde's cheeks as she holds her stomach, sinking to the ground. "This can't be happening."
