While the city had ignored the event that went down in Mystic Mountain, blissfully celebrating Megapolis' Anniversary. And only one noticed something was amiss.
The moon goddess briefly stared into the far distance.
'Just what are they up to...'
. . .
Lily stared at the book in front of her. Just re-reading the same sentence over and over again.
"Have you found anything important Miss Lily?"
The voice broke her out of her trance, and was startled to feel her companion's presence behind her, who was breathing down on her. This caused her cheeks to briefly warm up as his face was just next to hers. Maybe if she just-
'This isn't the time for that Lily!' She mentally and internally scolded herself.
She looks back at the book she was reading, "it's a recorded text about possession and curses... Someone from my bloodline wrote this."
"Really? All I can read is a topic about cats," the lotus prince tilted his head but he then moved away from her as he remembered, "oh, is it one of those books?"
She nodded. Books made from her bloodline are unique. She would see the cyan text pop up above the black words. Lily and anyone from her family can only see it. It made it easier to conceal any important information that shouldn't be shared. Just like a diary. How the power was shared is a mystery as her parents were very vague of the details.
Right now, she was looking for the book that contains her father's instructions. On the footnote of the letter that her parents wrote to her was her father's writing:
'Read the books to pass the time and I will see you soon, my little flower ;D'.
It was pretty clear that he wants her to find them, but she had to go to the library first to know where they were as it said: 'read the books'.
"I hope Wu and the others finds something in that spider's den," the lotus prince uttered before going back to fetch more books for her.
Lily's eyes examine the next book. It was her favourite fairy tale book.
Her fingertips lightly touch the golden heading. She always like to feel the texture of the book's cover...!
She rubbed her eyes over and over again. However, the cyan text did not disappear. 'That's weird... I haven't seen this before...'
Slowly she spoke the words out loud:
"D e s t i n y I s A C h o i c e ."
Suddenly, unknown memories she never had experienced flashed across her eyes.
Cold.
So cold.
She stared at her hands.
She knew what to do.
Screams of the souls surrounded her.
Destiny.
This was her destiny.
"Dragon girl!" The red haired ponytail guy rushed to the encased dragonoid female.
"Y O U C A N N O T C H A N G E T H E P A T H T O D E S T I N Y !"
