Vulnerability is Knowing One's Pain

Sakura's POV

I decided to take a quick break on watch duty to see how Naruto and Sasuke are doing. I've been sitting here forever so I wonder if Naruto fell asleep yet. It's still really dark but the moon light is doing enough justice for me to at least see where i'm going and what i'm doing.

"Hey Naruto you-"

I cut myself off because I see Naruto is in fact sleeping but on top of Sasuke?! Like almost literally half of his body is laying on Sasuke's! I don't even know how to feel right now... Maybe he was just checking on him closely and then ended up collapsing right then and there?!

I place my hand over my heart clenching my fist. I don't know why I feel so disturbed. I mean it's not like us as team 7 haven't already slept together. After many of our missions we ended up just collapsing all over each other here and there sometimes but...

this feels...

different....

It just looks like Naruto intentionally wanted to cuddle with Sasuke and I don't know how to take it...

I mean I don't want to assume anything but...

"No... stop it Sakura... you're being ridiculous."

Of course it's not like that... I mean I know they've gotten closer... kind of... and there's no denying that I mean it's pretty obvious but what was I thinking just now?!

Absolutely not!

No fricking way!

It's just my jealousy of Sasuke taking over me that's all.

Anyways back to business. Since they're both knocked out, it's my responsibility to take care of them. I head over to check on both of their temperatures. I place my hand on Naruto's head first. He's warming up a bit but I hope his temperature doesn't rise. I move over to check Sasuke's next.

"His breathing is gradually getting regular... but he's getting a terrible fever..."

At this rate he'll end up giving Naruto a fever as well by the way he's laying on him!

"That's it! I'm sorry Naruto but I have to move you for your own good!"

I get up putting my hands on my hips being very stern with myself and him. I don't know for what though cause it's not like he can hear me. For some reason though the more I stare at the two of them like this... even though I know I have to move him so he doesn't get sick from Sasuke... I kinda... don't want to?

"Ugh! I just can't help it... This view is so cute!"

I am still jealous though. I wish it was me down there and not him! Yeah that was it, i'm definitely moving him over now. I grab Naruto's shoulders and slowly but surely flip him on his back to peel him off of Sasuke. I then scoot him over just a tiny bit so they could stay close but not close enough to pass sickness's.

I then grab the rags and water I gave to Naruto to give to Sasuke but obviously he failed to do so. I pour some of the water soaking the rag, wrenching it then placing it on Sasuke's head. His face is very scrunched up like he's in an extreme amount of pain. I really hope and pray he gets better soon because I hate to see him like this. To see them both in this predicament is heartbreaking. Thankfully, Naruto seems to be okay for now but if he gets worse I'll do the same for him.

*sighs*

Now only time will tell for us. I hope they wake up soon. I know I have to protect them both and I will. But I don't know how long I'll be able to endure no sleeping. Because honestly, in an exam like this there is definitely no sleep for me. These two would absolutely kill me if they woke up to see I failed them! So this is my chance to not let them down!
