I leave and walk a few blocks until I reach Chishiya's home. Faint shot's can be heard, and the once-familiar street is now unrecognizable, resembling a battlefield. Bullet holes riddle the walls, and debris from exploded bombs litters the ground. Panic surges through me as I navigate through the streets, afraid of what I might find inside.

Chishiyas apartment is completely shot throughout and the thought of the others lying dead in there kills me. Lifeless. Numb. Limp. Cold. And Hollow.

What if they really are dead? What if my sisters are dead? Perforated by bullets? What if the last thing Haruto saw before he died were Takumis lifeless eyes? What if Kenji died first, and the others knew they would follow soon? What if—

Just as my fear threatens to consume me, Chishiya emerges from his apartment. His eyes meet mine, conveying a silent reassurance that everything will be okay just before they widen in surprise.

"Yuki!" He calls out relieved, stopping in his tracks.

I rush towards him, my heart pounding in my chest. Immediately I jump into his arms, and he wraps his strong arms around me, pulling me close and holding me as if he never wants to let go. The world fades away, leaving only the warmth of his embrace and the steady beat of his heart, which acts as a comforting rhythm against the chaos surrounding us.

"I'm here, Yuki," he whispers softly. "They're not here. Your family must be fine. Everything will be okay. I won't let anything hurt you."

I bury my face in his shoulder, inhaling his familiar scent, finding security in his presence. Chishiya tightens his hold, as if trying to shield me from all the pain. In his arms, I feel protected, cherished, and above all, loved.

He then pulls me into the apartment, shutting the door behind us. His arms immediately embrace me in a tight hug again, as he shakily breathes out. The sounds of gunfire and distant explosions are muffled, but the tension in the air is palpable.

"I thought I'd never see you again." I choke out between sobs, clinging into his jacket. "I thought he killed you!"

"I would never stop searching for you." He whispers in my hair, just before he pulls away and kisses me deeply, "I was so worried when I saw him follow you. Are you hurt?"

His eyes inspect every inch of me, still covered in the dry blood of earlier events. "No–No I'm fine." I reassure him, "But I feel really yucky."

"Let me help you." He whispers and pulls me into his bath. The sink is already filled with some water, and he soaks a cloth in it. "Are you sure you're fine?" He asks again, "Is your leg hurting?"

"I'm getting a deja vu right now, you too?" I joke, remembering the fun we had not long ago after he cleaned me. His eyes meet mine, without any trace of amusement as he waits for me to answer the question. I sigh lowly and turn back to him, "Just a little bit from running." I admit, "But it's fine, really. Don't worry."

Without another word, he wipes away the dried blood from my arms, face and finally uses the water the rinse the blood out of my hair.

"I'm glad you're safe Chishiya." I tell him as i cradle his face. "I'm sorry I didn't find you earlier. I wanted to go back but Tatta continued driving and then the King if Spades—"

"It's okay Yuki. I'm glad he did." Chishiya reassures me, "I'm fine."

"I thought you died." I choke out, "I would break without you Chishiya. Please stay with me."
