"Help me Yuki! I need your help!"
What is that sound? Who is that?
"Why did you leave us Yuki?! Wasn't Takeru enough?!"
Nio.
A chilling wind sweeps through the air, carrying with it whispers of fear and desperation. I find myself standing in an eerie, shadowy landscape, where the outlines of familiar faces appear, their eyes wide with terror.
"Yuki, help us!" Nio's voice echoes, a plea laced with anguish.
Mari clings to her, tears streaking down her cheeks. "We're scared, Yuki. Please, don't leave us."
My heart clenches with guilt and dread. I try to move toward them, to reach out and offer comfort, but an invisible force holds me back. I am paralyzed, my limbs heavy as if chained to the ground.
"I can't," I whisper, my voice barely audible. "I can't. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry."
Their cries for help grow louder, their faces contorted with agony. I can feel their fear seeping into my very soul, a suffocating weight that threatens to consume me.
"No, Yuki, please!" Mari's voice cracks, her grip on Nio tightening. "We don't want to die alone. Don't abandon us."
I try to scream, to express the depth of my remorse and desperation, but my voice remains trapped within me. The nightmare stretches on, each moment an eternity of helplessness and regret.
I wake up in the middle of the night, and immediately feel a soft kiss on my forehead. "You alright Clove?"
I lift my head, "Uh, yes."
"You were shaking and squirming in your sleep." He whispers, "Did you have a nightmare?"
I lower my head again and nod, "Just Mari and Nio."
"They are fine." He reassures me, "We can go look for them tomorrow, alright?"
"Yeah. Thank you Snow White." I smile and lift my head again, "Have you been awake this whole time?"
"Mhm." He nods and sighs, "I'm just not that tired."
"Now that's a lie." I smirk, and hear his heartbeat quickening again, "what is it Snow White?"
"It's nothing."
"You can tell me Chishiya." I whisper into his ears and plant a soft kiss on his lips "You can tell me anything in the world."
He smiles softly at me, and gazes into my eyes. "I just—"
"You just what?" I ask compassionately.
His eyes change from my left to right, and back again. His heartbeat quickens again, and his breathing turns hatched. Taking a deep breath, he caresses my cheek.
"I just really love you."
My heart flutters like a fragile butterfly caught in a soft breeze, my eyes widen in surprise, reflecting the vulnerability in his gaze.
"W—What,?"
"I love you." He repeats himself quickly, as if he's too afraid he won't be able to say it again, "And I would do everything for you, Yuki Hashimoto."
Chishiya's admission feels like the gentlest caress against the walls of my heart, a soft melody playing on strings I never knew existed. His honesty resonates, and I feel an overwhelming warmth enveloping me, as if I am wrapped in a cozy blanket of affection.
A tender smile curves my lips, and I reach out, placing my hand gently on his cheek. The touch sends a shiver down my spine, and I whisper, "Chishiya, you— you love me? You really love me?"
His eyes soften, and he leans into my touch, savoring the connection between us. "I—uh, I guess. Yes." His lips form a soft smile, "I love you, Yuki. And not knowing where you were today, if you were still alive... I can't not tell you. You need to know."
My chest swells with a mixture of joy and disbelief. I take a deep breath, inhaling the scent of his skin, and whisper, "I was even more afraid Chishiya. I thought you died."
"Wouldn't be too bad." He chuckles but i frown.
"I love you too, Chishiya. I have for a long time. If you died I would too."
Chishiya's eyes shimmer with unshed tears, his grip on my hand tightening ever so slightly. Our lips meet in a soft, tender kiss, igniting a spark that sends a warm, electrifying sensation through my body. His lips are soft against mine, and I feel the depth of his emotions in the gentle caress of his mouth.
As we kiss, time seems to stand still, and the world around us fades away. It's just Chishiya and me, lost in the sweetness of our shared affection. I melt into his touch, my fingers gently threading through his hair, pulling him closer.
The kiss deepens, I can taste the sincerity in his lips, feel the passion in the way he holds me. His arms wrap around me, pulling me into a warm, comforting embrace. I surrender to the moment, letting the overwhelming love I feel for him wash over me like a tidal wave, filling every crevice of my heart.
When we finally break the kiss, our eyes meet, and I see a reflection of my own emotions mirrored in his gaze. With a soft smile, he brushes his fingers against my cheek, his touch leaving a trail of warmth in its wake. "I'm glad I found you, Clove," he whispers, his voice filled with a tenderness that makes my heart skip a beat.
"I'm glad you did too," I reply, my voice barely a whisper, overwhelmed by the depth of my emotions. In that moment, we share another lingering look, reaffirming our love for each other without uttering a single word.
