Haku hurried to catch up with Tanjiro. She had spent the whole night training and was exhausted when Tanjiro's crow appeared at the break of dawn to caw directions. She had told Tanjiro she would catch up later, she would just head the direction the crow had said. South Southeast. It echoed in her head in the same annoying tone the crow barked. She walked until she came upon two children and Nezuko's box. A little further away was a house that had an eerie feel to it. That meant this was where a former kizuki resided. She walked up tp the house and opened the door to head inside. She wondered how long it had been since Tanjiro and Zenitsu had gone in. Haku assumed Tanjiro had met Zenitsu as he originally would have in the manga. Oh lord, that meant she would have to deal with Inosuke soon too. She took a deep breath to compose herself. Demons were nothing compared to the preparation she needed to deal with both Zenitsu and Inosuke. She loved them as characters, but they were going to be a handful. She walked through the halls of the manor looking for Tanjiro. She froze when she rounded the corner. There stood a demon with drums spouting from him. Former lower six Kyogai. Haku gulped. She was only just developing her breathing style with Tanjiro's training. She knew she would not be able to win against him. She turned and ran down the hall until she came to an open room. "Tanjiro!" She called the boy's name and rushed inside. Two children were inside with him. Kyoshi and Teruko; she recognised them from the manga. Tanjiro turned to her. "Haku-san! Stay here with these two. They are going to change rooms with that drum from the demon. I'll take care of the drum demon." Haku nodded, then reached to grab Tanjiro's hand before went out the door. "Please be careful. He's a former twelve kizuki, and I know your wounds have been hurting you as well." Tanjiro's eyes widened a moment, then softened. "Thanks Haku-san. I'll be careful." He turned and went out the door. He vanished before Haku's eyes as Kyoshi tapped the drum.

Haku knew that Tanjiro would be fine in the end, but she could not help but worry. He was younger than her, but treated her like she was his little sister. Her heart leapt with joy when he returned to the room to gather her and the children. Haku picked up Teruko and Tanjiro put Kyoshi on his back. They made their way to the exit and entered into the daylight again. That's where the sight of Zenitsu protecting a box and Inosuke beating him came into view. Tanjiro was quick to intervene. He rushed forward and punched the boar headed Inosuke in the chest. Haku hurried over to Zenitsu. "You alright?" She asked the yellow haired boy. He looked at Haku and his eyes lit up. "Whaa! A girl is asking me if I'm ok! I'm Agatsuma Zenitsu. Don't worry about me miss-" Haku gave him a soft smile. "Namikaze Haku." Zenitsu sang out her name in a rather cute manner. Haku just smiled and turned to watch the fight ensuing between Inosuke and Tanjiro. Tanjiro jumped up and slammed his head down onto Inosuke and Zenitsu screamed. The boar mask fell off and Haku turned to heard the children together while the madness ensued. When Inosuke finally hit the ground, she secretly sighed with relief.

Haku covered her mouth and tried to choke back her laughter as Tanjiro's well intended lecture to Inosuke came off as the greatest roast in history. This invigorated the boar headed boy and by evening time they had buried all of the bodies. After that they said goodbye to the children and followed Tanjiro's crow. Haku carried Zenitsu on his back and went to move Nezuko's box to his front. "Wait Tanjiro, I'll carry that." Tanjiro looked like he was going to protest, but relented, allowing Haku to carry Nezuko. "Thanks Haku-san. Sorry to put you out." Haku smiled and waved her hand. "Come on Tanjiro. I'm totally unhurt after all." Zenitsu piped up from Tanjiro's back. "How do you know such a pretty lady anyway.? She can't be your sister." Haku blushed a little. "Well Zenitsu, we met just a little while back. Since then Tanjiro's been teaching me how to be a demon slayer and we've been traveling together." Zenitsu threw his arms in the air. "WHAT! I have been killing myself and I never got a pretty lady to travel with! Not fair! Not fair!" Haku and Tanjiro both laughed it off. She had not told Tanjiro about being from another world, just that she had no family to return to and that she wanted to be a slayer. She actually felt kind of like she was taking advantage of Tanjiro's naive kindness.

When they made it to the bottom of the mountain, the crow led them to a house that had the wisteria symbol on the door. They were quickly led in where they changed clothes and ate. Haku sat next to Tanjiro and Zenitsu, trying to ignore Inosuke's provocations. She wanted to stab him in the eye with her chopsticks. The elderly woman then led them to a room with beds. Inosuke quickly jumped onto one and tried to provoke Tanjiro again, to which he ignored. "Which bed do you want Zenitsu?" Zenitsu put an arm around Haku's waist. "Whichever is next to Haku here." Haku blushed and pushed Zenitsu off of her. The elderly lady grabbed Haku's hand and led her towards another room. "Women get their own rooms deary." Haku laughed a little. "Thank you ma'am." Haku laid in the futon she had been given. She was unharmed because she could not properly fight. She decided she would spend her time here training.
