Taehyung and Jungkook sat together in the bustling university canteen.
Jungkook flashed a teasing smile at Taehyung. "Tae, you look even more stunning in red sweater."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, not missing a beat. "And I think you'd look more handsome if you could go one day without being a tease."
"At least you agree that I'm handsome" he winks.
Their playful exchange was interrupted when Jungkook's group of friends approached the table.
Among them was a girl who seemed particularly interested in Jungkook. She leaned in close to him, her voice laced with flirtation.
"Hey, Jungkook," she purred, "are you free this weekend? I've got two NBA tickets!"
Jungkook chuckled, but he glanced at Taehyung, clearly aware of the omega's discomfort. "Actually, I was planning to hang out with Taehyung."
The rest of Jungkook's friends grinned mischievously, and one of them chimed in, "Oh, come on, kook, give the girl a chance."
Taehyung tried to hide his unease, but it was clear he felt out of place in the group's dynamic. Jungkook, however, attempted to include him in the conversation.
"Guys, this is Taehyung," Jungkook said, gesturing to his friends. "Taehyung, meet my friends."
Taehyung managed a polite smile, but he couldn't shake the feeling of being an outsider. The girl's flirtatious advances toward Jungkook only intensified, making Taehyung's discomfort more evident.
As the conversation continued, Taehyung's jealousy began to gnaw at him. He couldn't help but feel a pang of envy as he watched the girl flirt with Jungkook, and he didn't like the feeling one bit.
While sitting there, Taehyung couldn't help but reflect on the time he had spent with Jungkook. He realized that he had grown fond of the charming alpha, and it scared him.
They came from different worlds, and he wasn't sure if he could handle the complexities of a relationship with someone like Jungkook.
Unable to bear the growing tension, Taehyung finally spoke up. "hey--kook, I have some projects to complete. I should go."
Jungkook tried to stop him, concern in his eyes. "I can help you----"
But Taehyung cut him off, his voice strained. "It's fine, Jungkook. I'll see you later."
With that, Taehyung left the canteen, leaving behind a conflicted and confused alpha. Jungkook watched him go, a sense of regret and longing washing over him.
As Taehyung walked away, he couldn't deny the turmoil in his heart. He had realized his feelings for Jungkook, but he wasn't sure if they could bridge the gap between their worlds. It was a difficult realization, and one that left him with more questions than answers.
