Chapter Twenty Seven

Hey Guys. I want to apologize for not updating at all. My brother broke my phone so now i have to use my family laptop. Hopefully everything will be updated according to schedule. For now, enjoy this chapter.

No One's POV

Neji frequently visited Shikamaru at the hospital. It sort of became a daily routine. Everyday after school, Neji would go and visit Shikamaru. They would cuddle and kiss. Neji would bring Shikamaru's homework and classwork for him and work together on it. Sakura, Hinata, and Ino would sometimes go with Neji to go visit Shikamaru to see how he was doing and to tell him the latest gossip. They were glad to see that the boys were doing fine. They even got in on helping Shikamaru plan the perfect date for him and Neji.

Eventually, it was time. After four long weeks of being in the hospital, Shikamaru was released back into the world. He was greeted by his friends, family, and lover. Even Kiba was there to apologize for his mistakes. Shikamaru was thankful for the people who arrived to see him get out of the hospital and forgave Kiba. He looked at Neji and smiled. The only thing Shikamaru was thinking about was their perfect date that they were going to go on.

Neji's POV

I looked at Shikamaru and I could already tell what he was thinking about. I smiled at him and walked over to him. He embraced me into a hug and held me tight. I giggled at him and leaned towards his ear.

"I can tell what you are thinking about through your face." I whispered to him

"I'm just excited for tonight. Can you really blame me?" He asked. I laughed at him.

"I guess not." I pulled back to look at him and I saw a beautiful smile on his face. I couldn't help but smile even bigger. Shikamaru hugged me once more before holding my hand. I heard all girls squeal and I looked at them, blushing badly. Shikamaru chuckled and hugged me again, carefully placing my face against his chest. I began to blush again. 'This is so embarrassing.' I thought.

"Look how kawaii they are!" Hinata said.

"They are, aren't they?" Sakura said in a question like manner.

Just hearing the girls talking about me and Shikamaru was embarrassing. I felt Shikamaru move and I looked up at him. I looked at him confused as he gave me a wink and a smile. He grabbed my hand once more and squeezed it. I felt him tug a little at my arm as he started to walk away from the hospital.

" Shikamaru! Neji! Where are you two going?" Ino asked.

" I'm taking my boyfriend out on a date of course." Shikamaru said with a smug smile.

" A date? Now? When you just got out?" Ino asked suspiciously.

" Yes. I'm taking Neji out on a date now." Shikamaru said. And with that, Shikamaru started to lead the way to our date. The girls were squealing, the boys were whistling, the adults were talking and laughing as I was blushing and holding on to Shikamaru's arm. Shikamaru squeezed my hand to reassure for who knows what. We continued to walk on the streets as random people staring at us, giving us looks of disgust and rejection. I started to feel uncomfortable as I unconsciously leaned my head on Shikamaru's shoulder. Shikamaru did nothing to move my head from his shoulder, but instead leaned his head on mine. We walked a little bit more until we were stopped by a group of girls. They looked at us for a few seconds, eyeing our hands and our heads. I thought they were going to act like we didn't belong in this world. Their reaction was completely the opposite. They all squealled before they rushed over to us. Shikamaru and I stopped leaning on each other and looked at each other, the girls, then back at each other.
