Chapter three

Hey Everybody!

Last time we left off with Shikamaru seeing something he should have never seen. I think you guys might like it and might not like it. Also, I don't own Naruto and I'm not hating on Tenten. I love all the female characters in Naruto. It's just how this piece came along. So yeah.

SHIKAMARU'S POV

I opened the bathroom door and saw something I should have never seen.  The memory will forever be stuck in my mind, no matter how much I don't want it.

I was witnessing Tenten, Neji's girlfriend, and some random guy fucking.  As soon as I opened the door, Tenten and the dude stopped and looked at me.  She stared at me as if she knew she had fucked up badly, which she did.  I was so disgusted and shocked that I closed the door as fast as I could and quickly made my way towards the dance floor.

Once I was on the dance floor, I made my way over to Ino and Choji, only to see them kissing.   I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw them.  I felt like I was going to hurl.  It wasn't that I was disgusted by the two of them.  No, it was just reminding me of what I had witnessed a few minutes ago.  If I hadn't seen that, I would have been totally fine.  Lucky for me, Ino saw me and noticed how bad I was looking.  She stopped kissing Choji and rushed over to me.

"Shikamaru?  Are you okay?" Ino asked, trying not to panic over my current state.

Before I could tell her what happened, I heard screaming and crying near the front door.  The whole party seemed to have stopped after hearing the screaming and crying.  Soon, everyone was crowding the front door as we all tried to make our way over to see what was going on.  Once we were close enough, I noticed that everyone was staring at something or someone.  I followed their gaze to see them all looking at Neji, who looked hurt and betrayed, and Tenten, who was causing all the noise that caused the party to stop.

"N-Neji.  Please. I-It, it wasn't my fau-fault. I was. He was." Tenten was saying in between sobs.  She started to look insane in front of everyone with her hair almost everywhere and her hands twitching as she tried to calm herself down in her predicament. 

"Tenten. I had enough of this."  Neji said.  "I didn't know where you were and I find you with some other guy.  I trusted you.  But you went behind my back and hurt me by going with someone else."  I just stared at them like everyone else.  It didn't seem real in the slightest, as if all of this was some kind of romantic fanfiction or something like that.  Tenten looked to see that everyone was surrounding them before her eyes landed on me.  In that exact moment, I heard my name in their conversation.

"But N-Neji. I-It wasn't my fau-fault. Shikamaru!  Shi-Shikamaru was there.  He-He watched the who-whole things as that guy r-raped me. He did no-nothing to help me!" Tenten said her body shaking as she finished off her sentence.  I looked at her in pure horror as she looked up at Neji as if her words were correct.  After Tenten said what she said, everyone turned their head towards me and stared, waiting for me to agree or disagree with her statement. Great. Just my day.

"Well Shikamaru, is it true that you just watched as my girlfriend got raped by someone?" Neji asked me.  I looked at him.  I didn't want to hurt him any more than he was now, but if I don't say anything, I would be known as a pervert and probably get attacked more than usual.  I took a deep breath before giving Neji my answer.

"I did see what happened, but it didn't look like it was rape.  In fact, it looked like Tenten was having the time of her life." I told Neji, wishing that I didn't see had happened.  "Once I saw that I immediately left the area before I felt sick."  Everyone had their eyes on Neji.  What was he going to say?  Would he take Tenten's word or would he take my word?

"Tenten," Neji said.  "We're done."  Everyone looked at Tenten who was on the floor crying.  At that moment, Neji had taken my word and Tenten was seen as a whore.  I felt bad for her, but I felt even worse of Neji who had to go through everything.  I never thought I would see him so hurt before and I never wanted to see it ever again.  Both Ino and Choji looked at me and motioned me to leave before things could get worse.   I nodded my head before I looked at Naruto to signal that I was leaving and that I wasn't feeling so well.  He gave me small smile and nodded his head as he tried to get the whole situation under control. After Naruto nodded his head at me, I left as fast as I could, not knowing I was being followed.

"Shikamaru!" I heard someone say. I stopped in my tracks and turned around to see who was calling for me.  I couldn't believe who it was that had called out my name.  It was Neji.  I looked at him confused as I waited for him to see what he wanted from me.

"Shikamaru. Thanks for waiting for me. I saw you look at Naruto and left right after that. I just wanted to make sure you were okay after what happened at the party." Neji explained to me. I couldn't believe it. Neji was concerned about me. Me. Usually, it's only Ino and Choji who are concerned about me.

"You okay there?" Neji asked me.

"I'm fine," I told him.  "But a better question is are you okay?  You kinda just went through a lot back there."  Neji looked at me before shrugging his shoulders and sighing.

"You can say I'm okay."  He said.  "I never thought that she would ever do something like that behind my back.  Who knows how many times she did that while we were together."  There was an awkward silence between the two of us that neither one of us knew how to break.  I just looked at him before I looked towards my right to see the stars light up the night.

"Can I ask you something Shikamaru?" Neji asked, breaking the silence between the two of us.

"Sure go ahead."

NEJI'S POV

"Do you want to hang out sometime?" I asked him. I looked at him to see if he wanted to or not. The only thing I say was a tint of blush across his face.

"Uh sure. When?" He asked me.

"How about tomorrow during lunch?" I asked him.

"Sure."

"Okay. So where do you live?" I asked him.  I watched as the tint of blush on his face grew more across his face and darker.  It was kind of cute and adorable watching him blush.

"I, uh, just live down the road."  He said fidgeting in his spot.

"Can I walk you home?"  I asked him.  Shikamaru turned his head towards me and looked at me as if he was trying to find an answer to something.

"Uh sure Neji. You might as well know where I live if you want to hang out." After that, we started to head towards Shikamaru's house. It was really awkward getting there. When we reached his house, we exchanged our goodbyes and I left.

So Neji and Tenten broke up. I'm kind of sad I did that to them, but o well.

So did Neji ask Shikamaru out?

Holy crap, I love revising this story.  It's my favorite thing to do right now.  I just love going down memory lane with this story and how my writing was back then.  It was okay, but I'm glad I can fix all my grammar errors and mistakes.  My baby is growing up T-T
