Silver was relieved that he had someone to help him look for the teen with Shadow then giving the two orders; however, when Shadow mentioned a jackal, he was reminded of his backstabbing old friend before waving it out of his thoughts.
Shadow: I'll check the school and find out who his friends are. Can you enter his apartment to see if he just slept in Rouge? And Silver, Stay here just in case he comes over here

Shadow and Rouge went to their destinations but saw no sign of the teen. All the student's teachers tell him to leave immediately, with no chance to get inside, meeting up again outside of the school with Ro, thinking of heading over to one place where he might be
Shadow: we should head to the orphanage that's nearby
Rouge: he wouldn't go there; he hates that place
Shadow: I know he does; however, if he were reported living on his own, then he would most likely been sent over there to take him back to the orphanage
