A/N: Yes I know Belladonna is a canon name, I completely forgot about that until I was halfway finished the book.😅😅😅 Also the image⬆️is my drawing. Ik its not very good, but this is just how I imagine her. Enjoyyy...
Six years later...
"Hey! Jambu!" I urgently call the raspberry pink Rainwing lounging in a hammock next to the banana (or should I say pineapple) yellow dragon beside him.
Jambu groans sleepily and buries his face in between Pineapple's wings. I smile despite myself, these two are definitely the most adorable pair of sloth-huggers I've ever seen.
"C'mon Jambu, wake up! You too Pineapple!" I scold. "Don't think I don't see you camouflaged there!"
Jambu rolls his eyes but sits up anyway, shooting a glare at me. Pineapple materialises beside him, his usually bright lemon-coloured scales orange with irritation.
"And why did we urge Glory to have dragonets, Jambu?" Pineapple grumbles, rubbing sleep out of his sage green eyes.
I smirk at their pettiness.
"Well that doesn't matter now," I reply, biting back a snarky reply. "The Skywings are here! Let's go!"
His strange glowing Seawing markings are the first thing I notice about him. A few soft gilded patches trail along his shoulders and neck, with a couple of distinct, glowing smudges along his snout.
Even without the metallic Seawing stripes, however, he would still look different. He has vibrant scarlet scales and large, powerful wings like any other Skywing, but halfway along his tail, the red fades into a slightly indigo-ish, royal blue like the sea at midnight.
Gold tinted gills that look like gilded claw marks shine on his neck and he has a thick, strong tail. The rest of his body is muscular and athletic, with toned muscles pockmarked with scars.
I look closely at his handsome face and see a sliver of a pink scar carved from the side of his snout and finished at the edge of his mouth. Storm smiles politely at a Rainwing and I see his scar crinkle. I also notice his eyes, a beautiful, deep periwinkle colour that seems to shimmer with confidence and strength.
He is a hybrid for sure. Which I'm quite familiar with, because... well... I am one. I'm a Night/Rain hybrid so I look very strange, but he is entirely unlike any other dragon I've ever seen, hybrid or regular.
The temptation to eavesdrop on his thoughts becomes overwhelming and I can't help but glance at my mum. If she finds out... I'll be in big trouble. I shudder remembering the time she made me pick up Silver's poop for a month after I invaded Coconuts mind in a game of hide and seek when I was trying to find him. Boy was that a boring mind though, totally not worth it.
She won't find out though if I do it now though, how could she? Plus, she doesn't even know I'm here.
I open my mind to his thoughts, and I nearly gasp. I've only been in a Skywing's mind once when I visited Sanctuary and I've never been in a Seawing mind at all to compare, but this dragon's mind is unlike any other dragon's mind at all.
His mind is like... wow, I don't even know how to explain it. Sometimes It feels like I'm swooping through a storm of memories but then all of a sudden I dive down towards a whirlpool of feelings and back to his current thoughts in the span of a second.
Maybe this is what all hybrid's minds are like. I think. Huh, I wonder what my mind looks like. I doubt I think about some Seawing called 'Gale' as much as he does though, and I definitely don't actually think about dreary meetings such as he's doing right now.
