4. The lucky one

- What the fuck?

Caleb looked back surprised at someone's voice yelling in their direction. Daisy opened her eyes suddenly awake. It was Justin; she felt the anger in his voice as he walked towards them.

- What the fuck are you doing?! - he screamed, grabbing Daisy's arm and pulling her up and away from Caleb.

She looked at him confused, what was he saying? And, what was he doing there?

- What are you doing with him? - Justin yelled at her pointing at Caleb.

- What?... - she said perplexed - I'm not doing anything-

Justin didn't even hear her out and interrupted her.

- You were all over him, I just saw you bitch!

- I wasn't, I promise! - she cried - I was tired and I fell asleep. I didn't mean to!

She tried to take Justin's hand to calm him down but he pushed her away angrily avoiding her contact.

Caleb was watching the scene from behind frowning. "What the fuck" he thought "What a jerk"

- Maybe if you hadn't left her alone and wasted none of this would've happened - Caleb said standing up and walking up to him.

He was taller than Justin who looked at him fiercely and before he could say anything else his knuckles hit Caleb's face. He was shaking his hand from the hit when he felt Caleb's fist impact on his face this time, making him take a few steps back.

Daisy saw Justin panting when he cleaned the blood on his nose with his arm and raising his fist again. She was faster and pushed him back and away from Caleb who just sat back down on the bench.

- Let's go baby - she said squeezing his hand - It's okay, it was a misunderstanding - Daisy reassured him - We'll go to my apartment and I'll clean that up.

That's what they did. They left the campus and walked to her block into her house. She cleaned off the blood on him carefully in the bathroom. Where he explained to her that he came back for his phone that was in Daisy's purse.

- You shouldn't have hit him - she said, wiping off the last of it.

- I thought he was doing something with you, okay?... auch! - he whimpered.

- I would never - Daisy said - I love you. Now grab a pack of ice from the refrigerator and come to bed, okay?

Justin smiled and went to the kitchen while she got into the king size bed, and when he came back to her, she was already dead asleep.

As the sun was rising Justin got out of bed and grabbed his things.

- You are coming this afternoon, right? - he whispering

Daisy nodded half asleep and kissed him goodbye before rolling to the other side of the bed to escape from the light.

She slept until around 12 o'clock when her phone started ringing on the table next to her bed. Daisy rubbed her eyes and patted on the table until she felt her phone and picked it up.

- Daisy? - she heard Rebeccah's voice on the other side of the line

- Hi, what 's up? she asked going into the kitchen and filling a glass of water.

- Do you wanna come to our dorm? We are having a hangover lunch here, April and I.

Daisy told Rebecca she would be there in ten and after washing her face and putting on comfortable clothes she left her apartment thinking about the previous night's events.
