On Sunday's afternoon Caleb wished a nervous Nick good luck on his date with the redhead and walked out of the dorms and out of campus to the nearest bar. James was visiting his family at home during the weekend so he was alone for the day. He slightly smiled at the thought of being alone and watching football in the bar. He asked Joe for a beer and after paying for it he sat in the back of the room facing the tv up on the wall.

The bar was full of college kids that sat in groups around tables, laughing, arguing and chatting.

Suddenly, his peaceful spot at Joe's bar was not so peaceful anymore.

- Are you okay?

He heard Daisy ask coming nervously in front of him.

- Yes, apart from the black eye. - Caleb replied without even looking at her.

Daisy sat next to him.

- I'm sorry about that...

- Don't apologize for him - he said grabbing the beer.

- I'm sorry anyway - she answered.

She looked up at the tv where Caleb was focused on the ads before the game and they both stayed in silence just feeling each other's presence a few inches away.

- Just make sure he doesn't come at me again because it's gonna look uglier than the other day, and not for me.

- Yes, don't worry, that's why I came here. He will never find me here - she said looking around, she didn't go to bars.

Caleb saw the look in her eyes. "What's wrong with coming to bars?" and frowned.

- You are hiding from him? Wow, that's a really healthy relationship.

Daisy rolled her eyes, knowing deep inside he was right, but she didn't want to admit that to herself.

- We had a fight and we talked it out but now I don't want to talk with him. That 's it.

- About... - he asked pointing at his black eye.

Daisy shook her head left and right. That wasn't why they fought. She knew what he was thinking. Why was she still with him?

- He's all I have, okay? - she explained - I don't have a relationship with my parents. Justin's mother is more of a mother to me than my own. And he has always been my best friend. If I break up with him I will have nothing... nothing.

Caleb nodded.

- I never asked.

Daisy frowned when she heard his words and slightly punched him in the arm.

- That was mean. I just opened up my heart, you assho-

- You can close it now.

She ignored his lame comeback and looked at the tv again, suddenly remembering what day it was.

- Chiefs vs jets? - she asked

Caleb looked at her surprised that she knew about football. He said yes.

- Taylor is going - she stated knowing it would piss him off.

- Not again! - he said annoyed.

Daisy laughed at his face, clearly enjoying it. She stared at the tv waiting for the camera to focus on the vip box.

Caleb looked at her and softened his annoyed expression a little bit. Daisy was back to her happy self when she was not thinking about Justin, he took her light away. When he caught himself thinking that, he looked away, forgetting about it.
