Vera undressed, her mauve slip dress sliding down to her ankles as she delicately stepped out of it. She changed into a casual outfit, a emerald off the shoulder sweater and some blue bootcut jeans. The diamond necklace Theo had gotten her lay in its perfect teardrop form right between her collarbones.

It was a Sunday which should have meant Hogsmeade (and recovering from Saturday's party,) but instead she was getting dressed to visit Umbridge with her friends.

What a day.

Vera entered the common room, smiling at her friends. "Who's excited?" She said in the most drab voice possible.

"I hate you, Draco Malfoy." Pansy simply said, narrowing her almond green eyes at the blond.

"Ditto." The gray eyed boy responded, wrapping an arm around her.

"Why would you have us wake up this early on a Sunday?" Theo groaned, pulling Vera beside him as he lay on the common room couch. Theo was a heavy sleeper and did not appreciate being woken up.

"Umbridge's meeting, not mine." Draco muttered, not appreciating all the complaining.

"It's for an easier life in the future." Blaise said, a little too chipper for 7 AM in the morning.

"Shut your face." Mattheo mumbled, taking a power nap with his face in a pillow.

"She will crucify us if we're late." Lorenzo reminded, shrugging on a coat. The halls were awfully cold in the mornings.

"C'mon Theo, let's get moving." Vera nudged the boy as everyone else started getting up. "Up, up, up."

"Salazar, you're going to be the death of me." He muttered, standing up and kissing her cheek.

Vera smiled as they walked together towards Umbridge's office.

"Welcome to all the Inquisitorial Squad inductees." Umbridge held her wand to her mouth, projecting her voice even though there was only 15 or so of them in the room. "If you are here solely for extra credit, know I can offer you that and more." She smiled deviously at the people in the room, mainly Slytherins with a few scattered kids from other houses. Zero Gryffindors though.

A small grimace crossed the ugly woman's face as she scanned the room. She then began to speak again. "Let me get one thing clear. I expect rule-following, from you all especially." She suddenly turned to Vera and Pansy, causing them to automatically stand up straighter. She exited from behind her desk and walked towards them, her wand in hand.

"Miss Saltori, Miss Parkinson, please stand up." The woman said sweetly, clutching her wand with both hands.

"Yes professor," the girls muttered, standing up and smoothing their clothes. They were the only two girls except for a 4th year Hufflepuff and 3rd year Ravenclaw.

The boys (their friends + Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle, Miles Bletchley, Adrien Pucey and a few others they couldn't name) leered at them as they stood.
