"National weather alert for severe thunder and rain. Main streets and bridges of Konoha City are closing due to impending floods. A city wide curfew was set by the governor for 1am. All business are to remain closed until further notice."

kakashi@hatakeenterprises.com: the office will closed tomorrow and most likely Friday due to the storm. I'll let everyone know when we open back up. Stay safe everyone! Enjoy the days off.

He sent for her close to eleven. A quick phone call that led to him waiting outside of her building no more than twenty minutes later. The rain was coming down heavier and heavier. The howls of wind picking up, the brisk hit that was sent to her skin when she went outside to meet him delivered shivers down her spine.

A storm never scared her. But it had been so long since the weather was this treacherous. Its worst  hadn't hit yet, in fact the squall had only just begun. He exited the driver seat, taking her large duffle bag and placing it in the back, then opened the passenger door for her to get in.

The drive was silent. No music, just the sound of hard hitting rain, the view of a dark sky and city lights through a water splattered window, the wipers trying to push away incoming drops. He drove with one hand, the other occupied, being interlocked with her hand. He brought her hand up to kiss and it only increased the goosebumps on her skin.

In the entryway, the concierge smiled at them. The elevator ride was a quiet few minutes up to the twelfth floor. It was as if every sound was heard, but the one Hinata focused on the most was her pounding heartbeat. She didn't know what it was that made her feel so nervous, shy. It had begun to remind her of when she lost her virginity. But even then she wasn't as antsy or as timid as right now. Each step they took on the cemented floors of the clean white hallways made her pulse exhilarate.

A key went in, a turn to the right, and the door was unlocked. It was dim in the lavish open penthouse. Rain splattering against the floor to ceiling windows, and some candles were flickering on the kitchen island and the coffee table that resided in the living room. Hinata stepped in first, every nerve in her body coming alive, as if they were previously non functioning. Like they just started working for the first time and she didn't know what to do.

The quiet sound of her duffle bag hitting the bar stool rang an echo in her ears. Hinata had grown familiar with Naruto's apartment over the last month. But tonight it felt so completely different. Foreign and exciting, scary and dangerous. Like she was entering a place where she knew trouble existed. The heavy growing splatter against the glass, the furniture in partial obscurity, so different from the breezy, airy, fresh spring night they first shared a year and five months ago.  At the time Naruto was new and exciting to her, but even she knew after their first kiss, after their first time, Naruto was some sort of sorcerer, casting a deep effective love spell on her and her body.
