(Nightmare)

Hey, this is not real. I hope someone's reading, though.

"Deep breaths, Goren. It was just a nightmare, I'm right here."

"No, why would they do this? I'm going to fucking die, Elion!"

Goren was shivering and buried his head in his hands, completely shaken up from the nightmare he had just woken up from. We were sleeping in his bed, since none of us had been able to sleep that night, so I had just climbed up in his bed in the middle of the night, like a little kid and given him a childish peck on the lips.

"I'm here and it's okay," I said and
wiped tears on his cheek away. I rested my hand on his shoulder. I didn't squeeze it or anything, just rested my hand on top of it.

"I should be the one comforting you," he muttered and took a deep breath.

"Hey, you're the one who needed comfort the most in this situation, because you woke up from a nightmare, okay?"

"I want to just stay right here next to you until I die, Elion."
He turned over, facing the wall with the drawing he had made of me, and let out a sob.

"Hug?" I asked, my hand moving from his shoulder, down to his waist.

"Yeah, please."

I pulled him closer and kissed his neck. I felt his warm skin against mine and that weird, bubbling feeling growing inside of me.

"Better?" I whispered, pulling away from him again.

"Yeah."

"Are you able to go back to sleep?"

"I think so."

"Great, because I'm literally about to pass out." I yawned, and pulled the fuzzy blanket over my head.

"Now I feel bad for waking you up," Goren slurred, sounding pretty tired at this time of the night too.

"Don't say that. You're always allowed to wake me up, you know?"

"Right, I know."

Goren wrapped his arms around me and I pulled him under the blanket, that was covering me.

"Now, close your eyes and sleep before I pass out, idiot."

"Fine," he laughed and smiled his charming Goren-smile. I kissed him again.

"I brought you soup."

I placed a bowl of steaming mushroom soup down on the beside table besides Goren's bed. It was made with the same mushrooms that he had picked on our way back from the treehouse once, and it smelled absolutely delicious.

"Thanks, but I'm not really hungry."

I sat down besides him, fluffed my hair up and took his hand.

"You need to eat, Goren."

I reached for the soup on his bedside table and stirred in it with a wooden spoon.

"You won't get stronger and be ready to fight, if you don't eat."

He sighed and took the spoon out of my hand. He stirred around in the soup for a bit too, before putting a small spoonful of it in his mouth.

"It doesn't even matter, I'm going to die anyway."
