Ethan's birth was not simple. Unfortunately, his mother died during childbirth. Giving birth to an angel is not easy, and his mother could not resist until the end. Ethan's father took care of the little angel all his life, but he never got over the death of his wife. Because of this, Ethan was assigned a guardian who could help the father when he needed it. Cassius took charge of this job. It got to a point that his father couldn't take care of him and they had to admit him to a centre so he could recover. Since the age of ten, Ethan has lived with Cassius. For the young man, the archangel is more of a friend or an older brother and not so much a father.

He also understood why Cassius was worried. History was repeating itself. An angel falling in love with a human. Ethan's mother was human. And that is why he had not been able to resist the birth. His father felt guilty all his life.

Aurora was telling him the ideas she had for the painting as they walked to class together, late as usual, but she realized Ethan wasn't listening.

"Hey, are you listening to me?"

Ethan turned around, as if returning from a world far away.

"Yeah, yeah. Sorry, what were you saying?"

"Professor Nathan explained to me that..."

"Doesn't this teacher talk to you too much?"

"Excuse me?"

Aurora did not expect that.

"I don't like that guy at all. He always has some excuse to get close to you."

"Ethan, I'm the one who's going to ask him questions."

"But he always has to attend to you in private and stay alone with you, don't you think that's strange?"

"What are you implying?"

"You know very well what I am implying. I would keep my distance from him, Aurora."

"Listen, you're not my boyfriend. And indeed, even if you were, you would have no right to tell me that. Who do you think you are?"

"Then, maybe I should be your boyfriend. I would have an excuse to be jealous and to protect you." He wasn't even looking at her.

"Are you jealous of a teacher who is helping me? You are crazy. Are you listening to your own words?"

"I didn't want you to get angry, sorry." Ethan realised he went too far.

"Anyway. You are acting very strange. I'll see you in class."

She quickened her pace and left him alone, in pain.

After classes, Aurora stayed in the library with Olivia in order not to go home with Ethan. The boy took the opportunity to meet Nathan in the studio, once again.

"What did you want to ask me, Hedger?"

"What do you want from Aurora?"

Nathan's expression changed. Suddenly, he was very serious.

"I want her to approve the subject. What more would I want?"

"Doesn't it seem strange to be so close to a student? We both know what you want."

"Don't say one word more."

His eyes turned red like his hair. A red and black aura surrounded him. Ethan half smiled, spreading his wings. This time he wouldn't take him by surprise.

He jumped to avoid the fire attack Nathan threw at him and the angel went straight for his stomach, landing a good punch. The demon fell to the ground, but immediately got up and threw a fireball at Ethan that was almost impossible for him to dodge.
